Power Ranking - Power Rankings - Quick Notes

Up1 (13)Rating 106
Indiana PacersInd11-2

I really hope Yeet doesn't read this weeks power rankings because surely the rest of us aren't ready to hear him rant and rave about how great Chet and Cade are (it is true, they are great)

Down2 (1)Rating 97
New York KnicksNY11-1

NY continues to find way to improve, recently brining in Dyson Daniels. Elite defensive prowess to join alongside Jaden McDaniels. One of the most potent offenses, is now looking to be one of the most potent defenses.

3 (3)Rating 95
LA LakersLAL10-2

We're going on a few weeks now of 6th Man Zion, and while the numbers dont scream out, the team is absolutely rolling right now. A risk initially, has now proven to be exactly what the Lakers needed.

Down4 (2)Rating 95
Miami HeatMia10-2

Miami continues their ascension, and the recent acquisition of NAW should only help further their goal of securing a top 4 seed.

Up5 (14)Rating 92
San Antonio SpursSA10-3

I love how the Spurs have crafted a very specific identity built around hard nosed defense, positional diversity and athleticism. One of the things I’m keeping my eye on here is what, if anything, comes from a potential Mike Conley deal.

Down6 (4)Rating 79
Milwaukee BucksMil9-3

Moe Wagner is averaging 17/10 for the Bucks. What a pleasant surprise. The rich just get richer I suppose. (Is this why Evan Mobley is on the block?!)

Up7 (8)Rating 78
Atlanta HawksAtl9-3

For a while it seemed Atlanta was torn on which PG would take the reins, IQ or Colby White. Well, Atlanta traded White a bit ago, and I think the choice was correct. Quickly is averaging 22/7 for Atlanta; and has been a stabilizing force for the team.

Up8 (9)Rating 73
Portland Trail BlazersPor8-4

The crazy thing about Portland is that in spite of all his talent, he may actually not be sold on his current core of Luka/Ant/Flagg. In JMAC’s defense of that however is the fact that in the games that this trio has played, that lineup has a -9.9 Net rating, and a +/- of -17

Up9 (12)Rating 66
Oklahoma City ThunderOKC7-5

Deni Avdija os pm the move. Many GM's think Utah lost the deal. However, it must be noted that Utah already has star power, and the depth they gained here should help. A gamble for sure, but I'm not out on OKC just yet.

Down10 (5)Rating 65
Chicago BullsChi7-5

Chicago has been winning in spite of the mountains of injuries they have had to overcome. A big reason why is their depth. They've recently traded depth (Gordon, Jones, Edwards) to Utah for star power (Franz). Will it backfire?

11 (11)Rating 61
Charlotte HornetsCha7-5

Currently without a GM, it'll be interesting to see how/if the Hornets can keep the forward momentum.

Up12 (19)Rating 59
Washington WizardsWas7-5

In what could be the last hoorah for this current iteration of the Wizards, the team is finally fully healthy and has now won 8 of their last 11. Can’t keep a champion down for long.

Down13 (6)Rating 56
Cleveland CavaliersCle7-4

Desmond Bane trade not paying dividends yet, with the Cavs going 5-6 in the 11 games Bane has suited up.

Down14 (10)Rating 56
Denver NuggetsDen7-5

Sabonis has been limited to just 12 games this season, and has recently been ruled out for the season. A real shame for Denver who last year played without Jalen Johnson. The big 3 of Sabonis/Johnson/MPJ could be one of the better trios in the NSL, but we’ll have to wait and see how it comes along together…next season.

Up15 (20)Rating 51
Houston RocketsHou7-6

Maxey looks every bit the league MVP…if only Houston’s record was better. 36ppg and 7apg are upper echelon, sadly, the Rockets lack the depth to bring them to the promised land. Still, anything is possible and Vit is a good GM. Will be interesting to see if any major moves happen here before the trade deadline.

Up16 (18)Rating 47
LA ClippersLAC6-6

Clippers have a bright future, but injuries to Paolo and George have limited what still could be a very special season. Hartenstein has been a welcomed return from injury.

Down17 (7)Rating 38
Memphis GrizzliesMem5-7

Bad news: JJJ is out for the remainder of the season. A huge blow to a playoff hopeful Grizzlies. Good news: Cam Thomas and GG Jackson should both be getting ratings boosts in the near future.

Up18 (23)Rating 36
Golden State WarriorsGS5-6

News Flash - Jericho Sims is a cheat code. In his first week as a starter the athletic big man averaged 16PPG, 13RPG, and 2BPG.

Down19 (16)Rating 35
Philadelphia 76ersPhi5-7

Jimmy Butler is officially done for the season, and week 11 showed just how important the 37 year old star is worth. 76ers went 0-4 and looked like a team scrambling for help.

Down20 (15)Rating 26
Toronto RaptorsTor5-7

Toronto is one of my favorite teams, taking on low risk/medium reward spare parts like Marcus Sasser and Justin Edwards. Two young prospects that could end up being solid rotation guys some day.

Down21 (17)Rating 25
Dallas MavericksDal4-8

Deni Does Dallas...amiright? (Does anyone get this reference? No?)

Up22 (28)Rating 23
Brooklyn NetsBkn4-8

This was supposed to be a year of celebration for Brooklyn, they did everything right over the summer. Sadly, injuries and overall fit have done them in.

Up23 (26)Rating 23
Sacramento KingsSac4-9

If anyone else were to start Krijci over McCollum, I’d say they were tanking. But Klemm doesn’t tank. So what gives? Well the Kings are searching for answers, due to the mountain of injuries, Klemm is tossing everything out there hoping something sticks.

Up24 (27)Rating 19
Detroit PistonsDet4-10

Detroits week 11 matchup against Philly saw Diabate put up an incredible stat line - 24 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals.

25 (25)Rating 10
Orlando MagicOrl3-9

Brandon Miller averaged 30ppg in Week 11, unfortunately it was not enough to avoid a losing record of 1-3. Still, there’s optimism to be had in Orlando, the future is bright.

Down26 (22)Rating 9
Minnesota TimberwolvesMin3-9

Its been a struggle season for Pat in Minnesota. If you know him like I do, you'll know he hates Vucevic. And yet, he willingly made a trade to bring him in. Some people are just gluttons for pain I guess.

Down27 (24)Rating 1
New Orleans PelicansNO2-10

Pelicans have entered what looks to be a rebuild. Dylan Harper looks every bit of franchise centerpiece, however. In his first week in New Orleans, the young guard averaged 24ppg and 6apg. Not too shabby.

Down28 (21)Rating -2
Phoenix SunsPho2-10

Phoenix has been making a flurry of trades over the last month or so, trying to climb out of the pits of the NSL. It has not paid off quite yet, but the determination Laddas shows is commendable.

29 (29)Rating -4
Boston CelticsBos2-10

Sengun is averaging 25/14/4 this year, but try as he might, the Celtics are struggling in the absence of Tatum.

30 (30)Rating -24
Utah JazzUtah1-11

Utah's struggles have been immense. Injuries and 2nd apron hell have made it difficult to improve mid-season. With a new GM in town, already active in reshaping this roster, I find it hard to imagine that the Jazz will see many more weeks at the bottom of the power rankings.
