Minnesota Timberwolves - Power Ranking

Week Rank Rating Team Record Comment
15 11 64 Min 8-5 "What's Love Got to Do with It" by Tina Turner In this song, Tina Turner challenges the traditional notions of love and emotional attachment. The lyrics suggest a detached perspective on relationships, questioning the necessity of love in physical connections and highlighting themes of independence and self-reliance. A GM that spent most the season trying to rid himself of the fan favourite in Jimmy Butler. "Your boos mean nothing. I've seen what makes you cheer“
14 12 51 Min 7-5 12. Minnesota Timberwolves (Australia) The Timberwolves, akin to Australia's 'resource-based economy,' are 'mining' their young talent, hoping these 'natural reserves' lead to prosperous 'economic cycles.'Confusing at times, the Australian economy is one of rich resources (though interestingly used) and a breadth of possibilities in various other areas. Where to next?
13 13 50 Min 7-5 Shotgun- Maximum damage will be caused when you let them up close and personal. Jimmy and AD offer elite inside scoring and obliterate all the opponents on a night-to-night basis. Sometimes it can look messy when someone stands in front of Minny who are one of the best teams in the league this season.
12 22 34 Min 5-7 Minnesota Timberwolves - "Who Let the Dogs Out" – Baha Men (2000) Overplayed to the point of annoyance, but still memorable - the Timberwolves have come down. It was high flying for a long time, and now they have been reduced like the Baha Men (all 10 members). But unlike the Baha Men and its 10 members, they have all been forgotten, and the questions being posed of the Timberwolves are much more serious than ‘Who let the dogs out?”
11 19 47 Min 6-6 Minnesota Timberwolves: The Warg Pack 🐺🌲 Why? The Timberwolves hunt as a ferocious Warg Pack – a coordinated, relentless force led by a battle-scarred alpha. Jimmy Butler is the alpha Warg, snarling with grit and dragging his pack into the fray through sheer force of will. Alpha’s Snarl (Butler’s Savagery): Butler stalks the court like a Warg chieftain, tearing into defenses with mid-range mauls and suffocating defense. His leadership is a guttural growl that demands pack loyalty, even as his 35-year-old legs show wear. Alpha’s Shadow (Anthony Davis): AD looms as the pack’s enforcer, a 6’10” apex predator swatting shots and devouring rebounds. Den Guardians (Brute Force): Jonas Valančiūnas and Dorian Finney-Smith fortify the lair, using size and hustle to bury opponents under rebounds and defensive stops. Hunting Pack (Opportunistic Strikes): Cole Anthony and Andre Jackson Jr. dart like feral pups, exploiting gaps with speed and chaos. Even Cam Reddish occasionally flashes fangs, reminding foes he’s still part of the pack.
10 9 69 Min 8-4 Werewolf - It seems a befitting identity for the Minnesotta Timberwolves as they continue to have moments of their best and moments of confusion. This coinciding with the fickle presentation of dual threat Jimmy Buckets and AD. At the moment, they are howling at the moon and have transformed somewhat. However, their are glimpses of human frailty that seep in from time to time that leave us wondering. Is this werewolf fully capable of the terror that has befallen it? Or rather is this a human dealing with the fragility of its own existence? At present, the Timberwolves continue to slumber in many respects and the future prospects might need tending too before the night is over.
9 7 68 Min 8-5 Tyrion Lannister - Tyrion has to be one of my favourite characters. He doesn't win his battles by strength in combat, but with his cunning mind. Almost like a chess match but with unpredictable pieces. He is a survivor and definitely went through his fair share of trials and tribulations, almost not making it through many of them. However, he always seemed to prevail and his worth was recognised by many due to that skillset but also his true moral compass.
8 10 66 Min 8-5
7 15 49 Min 6-7 Prince Charming - Minny - Expert at slaying dragons, breaking curses, and rescuing princesses. Currently waiting to come and save the day, the Timberwolves are a good-looking and alluring outfit. They are merely waiting for trouble and damage to really present themselves before acting and decimating all in their way. The Timbs are one of the more potent teams when fully fit, and given the chance will hurt any team in their way. A new GM with a deep roster, the Minnesota franchise akin to P.C, will be a force in any situation or storyline.
6 8 67 Min 8-4 The Pixar Lamp (all movies) - The Pixar Lamp is featured in every Pixar movie, and performs a small manuever (jump, rotate, squeaking sound) at the opening credits. At this point, Shay is nothing but a blip on the NSL radar until he, she or they decide to be anything more. Much like the closing credits, Shay probably won't see this.
5 6 78 Min 9-3 Xenomorph (Alien) - Other worldly, and foreign to the human consciousness, the Xenomorph arrives. Minny are cooking, and their new GM has this team humming. 9-3 record from 12, is terrifying from the new front office. Suffocating teams and producing hauntingly good performances, the Timberwolves have been excellent. As the season continues it will make for interesting viewing, will we have the original or the sequels…. One thing is for sure, the teams facing them, ‘...whoever it is, they’re gonna be in trouble.”
4 5 76 Min 9-3 Harry Potter - Harry Potter. 'The boy who lived', whether you are a fan of the wizarding world or not, some respect must be given to young Harry. A baby who survived the ultimate evil was raised by tragedy and later triumphed. Similar to other listed here, Harry had no desire to be anyone special or lead people to a better world, but often those with the gifts to do this don't have that choice. Harry defeated the greatest evil the wizarding world has ever seen, in he who shall not be named, and did so mainly with spirit and bravery. The Wolves are off to a great start with AD as Harry, Butler as Hermoine and JV as Ron.
3 10 63 Min 8-4 Depth has been an issue all season long for Minnesota, but AD and Jimmy Buckets should carry this team far. With that said, it’s not secret that this front office would like to have traded Butler already. Is it only a matter of time?
2 12 37 Min 5-3 "The Auctioneer" - Leroy Van Dyke- Jimmy Butler has been on the block for a while and there's been many messages about it, you'd think he's running an auction on the trade block. He seems very eager to trade him, not sure why as he's a good player, must just want to get younger.
1 13 23 Min 3-1 Welcome to the real stuff, Shay! Jimmy Butler's demise has been greatly exaggerated, and we shouldn't even be surprised any longer that when he's on the court, he is a star player. The Wolves scrape closer to a legal roster, with Shay hopefully picking up the slack in the reins, little by little.
