Are the Jazz legit?

Unchartered territory... Are we winning games?

After a 4-0 start, we might need to pinch ourselves. It was 0-4 last year, and it seems the losing may have come to a stop.

Jazz fans are ecstatic and so are the front office. Some huge off season moves looked to have solved a lot of holes that were visible, and now we may be in for a much different ride to the previous couple of years. The rebuild is officially over.

Retooling with Dejounte Murray, Julius Randle and Joel Embiid is a direction the GM needed to take. The assets were building, the time was now to cash in the chips and try enter the scene of the competing teams. Still a long way off competing with the big dogs of the NSL, however a couple of hard fought wins against previous champion San Antonio Spurs, a loaded New Orleans Pelicans, a feisty Cleveland Cavaliers squad and a banged up defensive jaganaught in the Miami Heat, make the Utah brass feeling very confident moving forward with the rest of the season.

There are reports coming out indicating that the big 3 aquisitions are super happy with their current situation and could not be happier to be in Utah. They are jelling perfectly with the golden sons of the town, Franz Wagner and Josh Giddey. The team are super excited to have a potential young superstar in Scoot Henderson able to take his time and find his feet, with the team running so smoothly at the moment.

With Free Agency causing an absolute cluster f***, 47 unsuccessful bids later, the Jazz have had to look elsewhere to fill out the squad and will make a minor move to ensure the team remains competitive. Fingers and toes crossed for next year that free agrency is not such a ball breaking event for the team. Only one target to retain in Murray which will be happening without hesitation, there should be room to catch some great low end veteran help - in a year that the Jazz will have hopefully found out how to win a little and could genuinely be competing for something great in 2024/25.

Until then though, lets sit back and see if this Utah squad is actually legit or if these are a couple of flukey wins to start the year off strong.

Go Jazz!
