Washington Wizards (Mexico) The Wizards' 'emerging market' status is similar to Mexico's developing 'industrial sectors,' showing potential for 'economic growth' with the right 'policy reforms.' This season has been up and down - a real instability that the front office has been drastically trying to change.

13 19 40 Was 5-7 Sword and Shield- A duo as old as time (much like Lebron James) the Sword and Shield was the medieval combo of choice. Good for killing and good for surviving as long as the back isn't turned. GM Jason is never one to be affraid of a fight and has front up to every opponent this season, will the old faithful Lebron / Booker be enough to get a maiden title?

The Wizards are having that existential moment in the league as they battle themselves in many respects. The spirit is there but is it willing. The talent is definitely there, but the Wizards have had a swinging and swaying year that has them high and then low the next moment - akin to this song.

The Wizards embody the majestic yet fading glory of a Golden Dragon – a once-dominant force now guarding its hoard of potential treasures. LeBron James, the elder dragon, presides over a lair filled with glittering prospects and aging relics. Elder Dragon (LeBron’s Reign): LeBron James stands as the ancient wyrm, his 21-year experiencea testament to his enduring dominance. His court vision and scoring prowess are the dragon’s fiery breath, still capable of incinerating foes. Golden Hoard (Treasures of Potential): Devin Booker shines as the crown jewel, a radiant scorer. Jrue Holiday and Clint Capela are polished relics, offering defensive grit and rebounding stability. Unpolished Gems (Young Prospects): Aaron Wiggins and Vince Williams Jr. glimmer with untapped potential, their athleticism and hustle hinting at future riches. Even Tristan Thompson clings to the hoard, a tarnished but still valuable piece.

He knows he is a wizard, he has dealt with many of the horrors that befall him within this wizarding world, but it is quite realised. The Washington Wizards have developing and growing to do. Thankfully it is the turning point in the season, and they have the run into the playoffs to figure it out. But they cannot rest on the LeBron and Booker, which has been seen, they will need to launch a lumos to bring Jrue and Clint into the fold, and go full Expecto Patronum on the league.

9 12 60 Was 7-6 Jorah Mormont - An honourable man, who falls in love and would do anything to protect that love, unfortunately the love is not reciprocated. Although he is getting on in age, he is a fierce warrior and truly battle tested. He survives grayscale, which is unknown if that has been done before, which was not an easy task.

7 17 49 Was 6-6 The Little Mermaid (Ariel) - Washington Trades her voice for legs and proves she’s as brave as any hero. Has the Washington Wizards lost their voice or has it been stifled. They aren’t quite the dominant beauty we are used to seeing. The Wizards have a confidence and thoughtful approach to their life in the NSL - but 19th on the Power Rankings would not have been on GM Joshua’s 2025 Bingo Card. Rest assured, they don’t need saving, and have all the power and promise to elevate and find the surface world.

6 6 69 Was 8-4 Lightning McQueen (Cars) - I want to go fast. There's no team in the league that symbolises the combination of wanting to be the best and likely being the best than the Wizards. Despite Lightning McQueen's future character development and maturity, the brash McQueen respected no opponent enough to consider they might be better than him. The Wizards have built up to this point through steady development and good trading, but there's no denying that this is a high performing machine that wants to cross that finish line first, at all costs. The Wizards have an engine that can't be matched and have pole position, currently. Ka-Chow!

5 3 99 Was 11-1 Michael Myers (Halloween) - Michael Myers has the longevity of any in this list. Just when you thought he was done, he continues, across different timelines too. What is most terrifying is the brutality of Michael, so too is the terror of the Washington Wizards. With Lebron, Booker, Jrue Holiday, and Clint Capela, the Wizards are able to bully and crush all who stand in the way. An unstoppable symbol of terror and evil, the Wizards when fully fit are truly nightmare stuff. "You can't kill the boogeyman."

4 2 98 Was 11-1 Neo - The Matrix. This was actually a coincidence, but this is perfectly fitting that Washington get the chosen one, Neo or Mr. Anderson as Agent Smith calls him. This is because they have their own chosen one on their roster in Lebron James (google his back tattoo if you dont believe me). Neo along with the help of his comrades took the fight to the machine world and lead his people from hiding in the depths. It seems the wizards are starting to believe in the words of Morphius and in the prophecy that has been laid out before them. Lets see if they can continue on this path to defeating the machine world or perhaps a NSL championship.

3 1 117 Was 13-0 Upper echelon offense + upper echelon defense = UNDEFEATED. While many of us expected Washington to be an elite team, I don’t know if anyone could predict just how dominant they’d be.

2 1 81 Was 9-0 “All I Do is Win” - DJ Khaled- Pretty self exclamatory, all they have done is win and they look like the hottest team and the title favorites at the moment. I saw them as a very tough team as we saw how well they did last year without a guy like Lavine and they traded for a better fit in Jrue.

Concerns about their depth may have been overstated; when their core is playing, they only need a few role player contributors to connect the dots. Josh has gone all in on the 2028 season, is the title the next logical step?Will they finally reach the pinnacle?
