LA Clippers - Power Ranking
Week | Rank | Rating | Team | Record | Comment |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
13 | 30 | -7 | LAC | 1-11 | Banana Peel- Mostly ineffective when it comes to taking a life, the banana skin is only effective in fast paced environments. Unfortunately the Clippers have been running a slow-burn with their team build hence they're positioning on the PR. They have the potential to be damaging but rely too much on their opponent's mistakes, like a race cart slipping on a banana skin. Hopefully next season is more friutful for the slow-building Clippers. |
12 | 29 | 3 | LAC | 2-10 | LA Clippers - "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" – Eiffel 65 (1998) Catchy but nonsense lyrics made it feel gimmicky, and this leads to the LA Clippers where the gimmick may have ran itself to the end. Is this the real LA Clippers? With Paolo and JDub, you have to question why things look Blue for this organisation? They have so much undeniable talent, but their blue house, with blue window etc. seems more of a view point than a reality - the Clippers have a brighter future than 29th in the PR. |
11 | 28 | 5 | LAC | 2-10 | Los Angeles Clippers: The Orc Warband 🪓🔥 Why? The Clippers embody the ferocity of an Orc horde – a tribal collective fueled by brute strength, relentless aggression, and a "smash-first" mentality. They overwhelm foes with physicality, raw athleticism, and a disregard for finesse. Warlord’s Roar (Paolo Banchero) 🗡️: Banchero is the hulking Orc chieftain, battering defenses with bully-ball post moves and primal drives. His 6’10”, 250-pound frame crushes opponents like a spiked club. Berserker Fury (John Collins) 💥: Collins leaps into battle like a frothing berserker, dunking with reckless abandon and swatting shots with tribal ferocity. His $26.58m contract is a war drum pounding for destruction. Skirmisher Arrows (Trey Murphy III) 🏹: Murphy rains threes like a crude but deadly volley of orcish arrows, stretching defenses with 6’8” versatility. Young Raiders (Keyonte George & Tari Eason) 🪓: George and Eason are the warband’s green recruits, slashing lanes and hounding ball-handlers with untamed energy. |
10 | 27 | 4 | LAC | 2-10 | The newly acquired vessel (still reading the manual) - Like any vessel on the sea, you must know your craft before you set upon your voyage. The Clippers at current are finding that out. All the bells, and whistles, but an inability to get the parts to work. Some weeks she is riding the seas with reckless abandon and promise, others she is in the shop needing maintainence work completed. It seems a matter of time and appreciate for this new clipper; get enough time on the seas and she will be a beaut. Til then it is about riding the undulating waters and observing how she goes. |
9 | 29 | -4 | LAC | 1-11 | Cersei Lannister - Another character that is very well portrayed and makes the audience hate them. There are moments of weakness when you catch yourself empathising with her, but then she goes and does something to make you hate her again. Can't fault her strength and determination though. She remains in power some way or another for a long time. |
8 | 29 | 2 | LAC | 2-10 | |
7 | 28 | 13 | LAC | 3-9 | Puss in Boots - LAC A clever cat who can outwit humans and ogres alike. Although pint-sized, this cat has claws. LAC and GM Andrew have been cleverly rebuilding and defining Clippers basketball. They have a bright future, and a clear alpha in Paolo Banchero. But right now it appears that they are only in the corner, a young kitten waiting to unleash all that underestimate. Akin to Puss in Boots, the Clippers have a plethora of abilities to hurt - a mix of old and new with Harris, Banchero, George, Collins and JDub. |
6 | 24 | 23 | LAC | 4-8 | Captain (Wall-E) - a complementary character in arguably my favourite Pixar movie (Wall-E or The Incredibles), the Captain for the most part is happy with his station and how things are progressing onboard the Axiom spacecraft. Andrew isn't dissimilar in his approach to the NSL and running his Clippers; there's no rush, everything will sort itself out, and we are happy here just chugging along until Earth is once again inhabitable/Paolo becomes a superstar and the Clippers mature into contenders. |
5 | 23 | 15 | LAC | 3-9 | Damien Thorn (The Omen) - The Los Angeles Clippers are a team with immense talent and power, much like Damien Thorn, whose presence is destined to cause destruction. You look at the future outlook and potential for this team, and it is hauntingly good. Paolo and JDub are two names that you can look toward the future with, add in the mix of talents throughout this roster. GM Andrew could develop an undeniable legacy of dominance and fear by all, just like Damien’s dark, inevitable rise to power. "He is the Antichrist! He is the Devil's son!" |
4 | 19 | 32 | LAC | 5-8 | The Bride - Kill Bill. More amazing Tarantino films which was carried by Uma Thurman who is a samurai sword wielding bad ass, hell bent on revenge towards her former assassin colleagues who turned on her when she tried to get out and have a family, with Bill being one of them. These movies have some wild fight scenes and with a sort of video game feeling to it, having to beat a different boss at each stage. That scene where she pulls out the other girls eye after have a katana duel and squashes it between her toes. insane. |
3 | 17 | 43 | LAC | 6-7 | Clippers holding steady while Paolo is out. This is all anyone could’ve asked for in Los Angeles. Pretty soon, when Banchero is back, the Clippers could be an absolute powerhouse. |
2 | 11 | 38 | LAC | 5-4 | "Mo Money Mo Problems" - The Notorious B.I.G.- All FA everyone wondered what they would do, if they'd go after a massive name. They went for Demar, but they don't have any max money tied up to anyone long term. They are still middle of the pack record wise, so maybe it just shows you don't have to spend money to be good. |
1 | 16 | 17 | LAC | 2-2 | Andrew and LAC's time to move is now. Sure, it sucks Paolo is out for an extended period of time. But, the West is as shallow as it has ever been in terms of really strong teams. I think the Front Office has to put a bit more effort and emphasis on bringing more talent in and setting a tone for a hopefully fruitful Clippers era. |
