NSL Insider - Suns - Warriors Review

What a series. Where do I start. Let’s go right back to When Clay took over The Warriors. He came in with a brash attitude. He wanted to win and let everyone know it. It was a breath of fresh air (to everyone besides Gav, who decided straight away Clay was is New Enemy Number 1). The Warriors had been awful in the old NLL for years and years. Mainly because Joel kept ripping them off in trades.
So you have this new up and coming side. Against the old firm. Laddas. A 2k Legend. On the quest for that elusive title. Laddas won 55 games, Clay won 46. 95% of experts picked The Suns. No one gave The Warriors a chance. Fast forward 4 games and they lead 3-1. Against all odds. They have the series in the bag? 3 chances to eliminate one of the big dogs in the first round and shake up The West.
Unfortunately from there, is where Clays nightmare began. Laddas locked in, he ignored his wife and kids and didn’t shower for 96 straight hours. He simmed and he simmed and he simmed. He never lost faith either. 3-1, especially in 2K is a bad place to be. But Laddas backed his guys. He made a few changes and made some big calls. CP3 to the bench, Rozier out of the rotation completely. AND IT WORKED!
They worked hard and one Game 5 at home. The big one was back at The Chase Centre. Warriors had a chance to close at home. The Suns were down big in this one, but some how found a way to claw back and get the win. An absolute famous effort.

Game 7, had it all. A tight battle, then a computer crash and a re-sim. The re-sim started close but in the end the Suns showed their class and closed it our comfortably. An amazing effort to come back form 3-1 down.
Hats off to The Warriors. They took a franchise that was going no where fast. They have made them competitive and relevant in a short period of time. This loss will sting for a while. But they have better things to come. Well done clay and good luck to Laddas in the 2nd Round.
