The Calm before the storm
It seems we have hit that period where teams are definitely focusing in on their goals, the lower class seem to be doing anything for a loss, the middle class are trying to break that play in game (unless your Boston) and the upper class are fighting for supremacy and the ultimately important seeding positions.
A few teams are hitting their strides just at the right time. PG coming back for the Raps has been hot on the agenda, with most teams in the East (mainly the Wizards who will bounce out in the first round again) wanting to avoid some of the sleeping giants. How will the bunch of teams sitting around that .500 mark feel leading up to the end of the season, Kings, Cavs, Philly and the Bulls specifically. Boston seem to be trying to find an identity, do they make the play in and cause a scene or what one more season before they take a scalp in the playoffs.
As a member of one of the lower organisations, Utah are praying they do not fall out of the top 3 again like last season. Falling to 6 was a kick in the crotch that is for sure. The research will soon begin on who our next prized rookie will be. It feels like there are definitely a few ups and downs through the season, here is too hoping over the coming years a bit more success will spark the fans in Salt Lake.
Having a season under the belt now, it will be interesting to see how the playoffs pan out with at least a handful of teams who could take out the crown. Would not be against an underdog coming through and causing a ruckus. I guess now would be a great time for that all time quote from KG... ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
