Gandalf and the Hobbits Vs Sauron
Dwayne Dedmon, formally known as Gandalf, and the brave Hobbits took on the might of Sauron (Portland) in another instant classic on Thursday night. But this time there was no Sam Wise and Mr Frodo dropping the Ring of Power into the fires of Mount Doom. There was no last minute savior from above as the Eagles were no where to be seen.
Gollom (Kevin Durant) was able to snatch the Ring of Power from the grasp of Mr Frodo (Lebron) and Sam (Jimmy B) as they climbed to summit of Mount Doom. After a lengthy tussle lasting 48mins, the will of Sauron prevailed. Mankind as we know it was thrown into peril as ogres, orcs, trolls and uruk hai united in celebrational war cries. The Blazers held destroying the Spurs 106-103. This alternate ending to the Peter Jackson masterpiece trilogy is looping in the JMAC household and is closing in on its second run through as we approach the 12 hour mark since last night's epic conclusion. Meanwhile, Middle Earth is putting in preparations for a last ditch strike, though it appears all hope is lost for man and hobbit kind.
GM Nelson has reportedly reached out to Lord Elrond of Rivendale to see if there are any straggling boats to Elf heaven as he's deeply regretting staying to fight the honest fight. Lord Elrond apparently replied, "New phone, who dis", to the despair of the remaining members of the fellowship who can see the fires of Doom closing in.
While Middle Earth is ablaze, the shire appears to be the final retreat for the Spurs who are aiming to hopefully return to and live a meager existence, while Sauron's Blazers tear through the remains of Middle Earth on route to the WCF.
All we can hope for is one last unlikely hero to strike down Gollum, Sauron and the Portland Trailblazers. Ethan Cornill, the stage is yours..
