Ben Simmons - Miami Heat.

Miami are hot. Like 10 in a row kinda hot. Simmons snags his first weekly award over Davis in a dead heat only separated by a first place vote tiebreaker 6 over 5. He had averages of 30.6/6.8/7.2/1.2 and splits of 62/60. No that's not 60 from three. Well done Simmo. 


Carsen Edwards - Boston Celtics. 

Great to see a fresh face here and another youngster recognized. He had 7 first place votes over Culver's 4 and he had averages of 13/1.8/4 which is handy from a first year guy. He's touted to be a pure shooter type and he shows it already in his game, he went perfect from the line but frankly was pretty inefficient from everywhere else but we'll let it slide with the rook. 

Giannis Antetokounmpo - LA Clippers 

This is the Greek Freaks second weekly award so far in the season. The Clips were super light in the forward department his week and Giannis was essentially "forced" to play close to 48 mins a game. Surprisingly they did pretty well going 3-1 with him averaging 52.8/13.3/9/2.3/2.5 with splits of 64/50/73. He dropped 52 twice and had a monster 65 game. he snagged it with 12 first place votes over Lebrons 2 so it was a landslide in the end. 

RJ Barrett - LA Clippers. 

This is RJ's third award and its only week 5... I'm starting to see a trend here and expect to see the Clips two guys take this out again and again. I thought we had seen the best of RJ weeks ago but this weeks numbers of 
26/4/4.3 with splits of 63/56/73 far eclipses that. He got it done with 9 first place votes over Hero's 2.
