NSL Insider - Division Preview: Pacificby gc6, updated on Monday, December 02 2019, 04:59 am EST The
pacific division, or the divison of death for those playing at home. My
guess is the winner of the inaugraul NSL Championship will come from
this group. It would also be my place to live if i was an american,
a nice little bungalow at the back of Scottsdale in Arizona sounds
pretty fantastic right about now, sipping on a Tom Collins. Beautiful Anyway lets get in to the teams and see what we have here. Golden State Warriors - Titles or Bust Wow a rookie GM to start us off after the shock exit of Mailo (who we wish all the best). He
hasnt wasted anytime at all putting his finger prints on this team by
making a major trade within the first few days of taking control. In
comes Zach "dunk contest" Lavine, Patrick "rings" McCaw and Thansis
Antenenneoukumpo. Out goes Goga Bitadaze, Rodney McGruder, Solomon Hill
and the warriors 2020 1st and warriors 2020 2nd. Can't really
go back over the draft the warriors had as we have already had the GM
who made the selections stand down, but its no secret who the building
blocks are going forward. With the 21st pick Deandre Ayton and with the
40th pick Jamaal Murray. Not too shabby at all. Really looking forward
to seeing how it all turns out for the warriors, as we all love a trade
and he seems to be all over it! But as far as wins go, dont get too excited. Player to Watch: JJ Redick, hes going to smoke threes untill hes 50 Los Angeles Clippers - Andrew The
City of Angels what a place. The Los Angeles Clippers what a team. Lead
by the best player in the NBA and the NSL Giannis Antenenoukumppo. Just
on first glance at the team they look stacked, and some savvy trading
in the off season got them there. Obviously getting the 1st pick in the
draft is absolutely amazing and guarentees you a super star, but making
the most of the next 2 picks or so is crucial. With his second pick he took Draymond Green and then proceeded to trade him when his value was at its peak. Because i dont think anyone really predicted what would follow, and that's Draymond turning into a big fat pig once the season started, hes playing some of the worst basketball we have seen from him in years. Lucky the season is still young and he can turn it around, but Andrew doesn't care at all because hes sitting on his solid gold throne watching Sabonis break out into a star Heres the full deal Draymond Green for Domantas Sabonis, Ricky Rubio and a 1st round pick from the Raptors. Yikes Player to watch: Rookie RJ Barrett, looks like hes going to be a great player in the future and Andrews nailed it again Los Angeles Lakers - Greenmig You
know what youre going to get with greeny, and thats a great team that
he will squeeze every ounce of talent out of, and i dont even think hes
made a trade yet! The lakers are sitting pretty at 8-4 in the west
as well at time of writing, even if it doesnt look like it early, only
because the west is stacked with good teams. Grabbing the
sliding Russell Westbrook at pick 23 in the draft was an absolutle no
brainer, and its proved it was a master stroke early days because
Westbrook is a 2k beast. Tobias Harris and Jo Val are perfect second and
third banana's for the lakers as well. Player to watch: Nickeil Alexander Walker, another slider and another steal for greeny, what else is new. (trade me him please) Phoenix Suns - Laddas What
a wild series of events since draft day for the suns. In a whirl wind
of trades laddas turned the team on its head from a slow burn build lead
by DeAron Fox, to a genuine contender and maybe the favorite to win it
all lead by Kawhi Leonard. Theres not much to say about the suns,
just have a look at their transaction page since the league started and
judge for yourself. They have been BUSY. It looks like its going to pay off though as they lead the entire league in wins and who is going to stop them. 99
points was a hefty price to pay for Kendrick Nunn at first glance when
it happend, but that may be cheap by the end of the season as it doesn't
look like his hot start was a fluke. The only thing that may
upset the balance is laddas and his itchy trigger finger, will too many
trades spoil the broth as they say? Player to watch: OG Anunoby, whose gonna turn out better, him or Murray? Sacramento Kings - Klemm Melo The team everyone loves to hate on after trading away all his picks in a moment of madness. Youd
expect the kings to be good, really good even. But i dont think they
are quite there yet as a power house of the competition. Lebron =
Wins and he still might be the best player in the nba and the nsl. But
you need a Scottie Pippen or two on the roster as well. CJ McCollum is a nice robin but after that i start to get a bit nervous. But
its Klemm and im sure he will figure out how to get the Kings out of
first gear and he should be able to sneak his way into the playoffs come
the end of the regular season. Player to watch: Derrick Rose, will we see some more vintage Rose again this season? My Projected standings for this division by the end of the season: 1. Phoenix Suns 2. Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers 4. Sacramento Kings 5. Golden State Warriors |
