The revamped Milwaukee Bucks have come out firing this season, racing to a 14–3 start behind strong, well-balanced contributions from their Big Three and the supporting cast. That record, however, comes with some context, as much of the early success has been against teams near the bottom of the NSL, many of them undermanned and struggling in the standings.
Brandon Ingram
Brandon has been a welcome addition to the team providing plenty of secondary shot creation next so SGA, he currently ranks #18 in the NSL in PPG at 27.5ppg. We hope to see this continue on through the season as he is exactly what we needed between SGA and Evan Mobley.
Evan Mobley
This season we have experimented with Evan taking on the starting C role for the squad, which has proven fruitful in the early weeks of the season. At center this season, Mobley is averaging 22 points, 13 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.8blocks per game all while shooting 41% from 3. This has been a huge reason for the bucks early season success, hopefully it is sustainable.
Moving Forward
The Bucks will face a tougher stretch in the weeks ahead, with key contributors such as Lu Dort sidelined and Evan Mobley expected to miss 2–4 weeks due to a calf strain. Fortunately, the team is well covered, with the highly capable Jakob Poeltl stepping into the starting role while Evan takes the necessary time to return at full strength.
