Eastern Conference Starters
Player | Key information | G: Devin Booker (WAS) | Has Devin Booker has finally ascended into the elite/superstar tier of players? An All Star starting spot tends to say that yes, he has. 26 points a game on efficient shooting, as well as five rebounds and four assists. | G: Luka Doncic (CHA) | The Wunderkind Luka can get used to these All Star games, as he is going to feature heavily in them for his whole career. Charlotte are cruising through the East, as Luka crushes 31 points a game. | F: Paul George (TOR) | Right behind the Hornets are the Raptors, who have rougher seas than the Hornets but are making just as good of time. I have always thought that PG is as good as it gets in 2k, and his 29 points on 53% FG, along with elite defense, validates. | F: Anthony Davis (CHI) | Chicago have always been consistently great and they go under the radar. Even under duress, they figure out how to be competitive and it is largely due to Davis. Not flashy, but dominant defensively, with 11 rebounds and 4 stocks a game. | C: Rudy Gobert (DET) | The Detroit Pistons have had their best two scorers miss so many games, and despite how awful they are to watch, I have to acknowledge how well they have done. Rudy has expanded his offensive contributions and is still a defensive god. |
Eastern Conference Reserves
Player | Key information | G: Chris Paul (CHA) | The Ageless Point God continues to be just that, helping Hornets be great and tutoring Luka simultaneously. | C: Joel Embiid (WAS) | Despite only playing a few weeks with the Wizards, and his Pacers tenure resulting in few wins, he’s too talented to not make it. | G: Damian Lillard (NYK) | Damian Lillard has trended down this season as much as anyone, passed around to multiple teams. But, he is still one of the best scorers we have. | G: Trae Young (ORL) | Trae Young is balling and is slowly but surely helping his Magic build towards the playoffs. GC6 would be proud. | F: Jayson Tatum (BOS) | Dont look now, but the Celtics might be as bad at tanking as they have ever been. Tatum is pushing his team to the brink of playoffs. | G: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (MIL) | I had no idea Shai has been scoring as much and as well as he has been, but he is killing it for the Bucks. All Star time for SGA. | F: Demar DeRozan (TOR) | Perennially underrated and labelled as effective, DeMar looks like a steal for the Raptors and is eyeing playoff series wins. | G: Bradley Beal (CHI) | For all the defensive prowess his teammate Davis brings, Beal is the smooth scoring and offense that the Bulls rely on. |
Western Conference Starters
Player | Key information | G: James Harden (POR) | Darth Vadar and the Portland Empire continue to win despite being without their best player. James Harden has been the leader of the NSL Blazers forever, as he chips in his standard 25/5/5 every night. | G: Stephen Curry (DEN) | The Chef God will always be in the All Star starters, even if his team isn’t winning as much as others. His individual brilliance is as enigmatic as any other, if not higher. It is no 50 points a game, but he leads the league, again. | F: LeBron James (SA) | The King continues to rule the Kingdom and he is a basketball god and a treasure to anyone who enjoys watching basketball. It is just a shame he plays for San Antonio. 37 years old, prime stats of 24/9/6. | F: Kevin Durant (DAL) | The Mavericks have disappointed their fans so far this season, but where there is a Kevin Durant, there is a way. Durant, like Curry, has a pass when it comes to the team record factor. KD is as good as there has ever been, and he scores 35 a game at age 33. | C: Giannis Antentokounmpo (LAC) | Is he a C? Is he a PG? Is he a forward? He is just Giannis, a player so versatile and talented and big and athletic that he defies any attempted categorisation. The Clips persist with him at PG, where he nightly creates the greatest mismatch in the NSL. |
Western Conference Reserves
Player | Key information | F: Jimmy Butler (SA) | Jimmy Butler, when he isn’t dividing the league and causing managers to question the ethics of the league, is one of the best two way players we have. | F: Jaylen Brown (MEM) | Memphis looms as a genuine threat in the playoffs, with star power, depth and plenty of powder in the chamber to make moves. | C: Nikola Jokic (HOU) | The Great Chungus continues to just do amazing things, leading the Rockets in pretty much every category. | G: Ja Morant (NO) | Ja is looking like prime Derrick Rose; the young star that is most likely to take the mantle from the current superstar regime. | G: Russell Westbrook (POR) | As polarising and cavalier as he is, Westbrook has been the rock for Portland, and leads the league in assists. | C: Jonas Valanciunas (MIN) | What a cheap get for the Wolves; the deal has aged so well, and Val is dominating the inside. | G: Jrue Holiday (SA) | The third member of the Spurs’ star trio, Jrue is the perfect complementary great player to a star. | G: Zach Lavine (GSW) | The Warriors hype bubbles up and bursts, ebs and flows, but the Lavine love is always there. He’s scoring a lot. |
