NSL Insider - Division Preview: Centralby leeroy, updated on Monday, January 18 2021, 12:33 am EST The Central division is a real mixed bag of lollies this season. With a couple of powerhouse teams in Chicago and Detroit and a couple of other teams building through youth, and one wildcard in the Pacers who could be anything. My guess is the winner of the 2nd NSL Championship will come from this group. As the Chicago bulls look really strong, even after the Free Agency day debacle. Anyway lets get in to the teams and see what we have here in one of the eastern conferences. Chicago Bulls - merencio Lets save the best for first. The bulls are stacked though out the roster and even get a really good new player added to last years squad without even lifting a finger as John Wall looking like his old self after two years off with injuries. Had a really good, albeit controversial free agency day as well by bringing back superstar big man Anthony Davis and 2K darling Hassan Whiteside. Probably has the best starting 5 in the league as well. C: Hassan Whiteside PF:Anthony Davis SF: Cedi Osman SG: Brad Beal PG: John Wall or something like that, just outrageous. Look for them to take out the the east and maybe even put a few more wins on last seasons efforts. Player to Watch: John Wall - will be good to welcome him back and see how he goes in 2k land, which im betting he will still be good. Cleveland Cavaliers - Dylan I dont know about this place man, I just stayed in my hotel room. Every time I look out my windows, it’s pretty depressing here man. It’s bad. It’s bad. No no going out in Cleveland man. It’s all factories. As for the team its hard to guess how this season is going to play out. With a young list and no star player or star prospect it looks like it might be a tough watch for the fans this year. They had a good free agency though by picking up some good win now players to use as trade bait after week 5. Could see some crazy line ups this season as Dylan figures out what hes got, cause its gonna be a slow burn for a while. Or maybe he makes the playoffs cause what would i know. But the smart money is on the cavs picking high in the 2021 draft. Player to watch: Jarrett Allen - In the Nsl and in real life. Could he become the cavs franchise player? Detroit Pistons - sheed36 You know what you're going to get with sheed, and that's a great team that he will squeeze every ounce of talent out of, and there is a boat load of talent on this team. The pistons will be sitting pretty at the end of the season, providing Kyrie Irving's head doesn'tblow off again. The fit between two star bigs will be interesting as well, cause on paper i dont like the fit with Rudy and Bam, but im sure sheed will make it work. The pistons could be a bit of a smokey to win the title this season, so keep an eye on them as the weeks progress. Player to watch: Kyrie Irving of course, is he going to leave the team again without telling anyone? Indiana Pacers - spudspace What a wild series of events for the pacers. In a whirl wind of trades that happend last season, spud turned the team on its head from a slow burn build lead by a few young guys to a genuine contender with the addition of Joel Embiid. Will be interesting to see how this team goes with a full season of a superstar on the roster and a pretty good supporting cast behind him as well. And if Victor Oladipo gets back to his best after his recent NBA trade, the pacers could also be a scary team come play off time. Plenty of potential in this side Player to watch: Blake Griffin - Has he got any gas left in the tank? Milwaukee Bucks - badwolf The ultimate rebuilding team which wont be winning much again this season either. But the bucks do have two amazing young prospects in Zion and SGA, so they are still must watch NSL basketball. Will be great to see the evil genius Badwolf do his thing, and im sure one of the players he just recently drafted will become a superstar in no time. Will be in contention for a high pick again this year, so lets just hope he doesn't land Cade Cunningham for the rest of the leagues sake. Player to watch: Precious Achiuwa - Looks like a steal early, classic Badwolf, My Projected standings for this divison by the end of the season: 1. Chicago Bulls 2. Detroit Pistons 3. Indiana Pacers 4. Cleveland Cavs 5. Milwaukee Bucks |
