AD ended up with 8 first place votes over Kawhi with 6 and Jimmy with 3... He came storming home after the aforementioned defensive wings got some early love. 

He averaged 13.7 RPG (Ranked 6th in the league) and led the league in both steals and blocks which is unheard of for a big man. The Bulls were +11.1 with him on the court and its a very real possibility this isn't the only award this guy wins with his prowess on both ends.
