Donovan Mitchell, commonly known as "Spida," is a rising
star in the NBA. Born on September 7, 1996, in Greenwich,
Connecticut, Mitchell played college basketball for the Louisville
Cardinals before being selected in 2018: 1st Rnd, 20th by OKC
Mitchell quickly made a name for himself in his rookie season, earning the NBA Slam Dunk Contest championship and leading the Pelicans to the playoffs. He averaged 20.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, earning him the NBA Rookie of the Year runner-up award.
Since then, Mitchell has continued to improve and has become the face of the Pelicans franchise. He has been selected to two NBA All-Star teams, and in the 2020 NSL season, he led the Pelicans to the second round, averaging 32 points per game.
