Wolves FA
Wolves Free Agency
The Wolves have plenty of holes in their roster currently, but could FA change the teams plan?
What does the roster looking like currently?
PG: LaMelo Ball, Jaden Hardy
SG: Jrue Holiday, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
SF: Scottie Barnes, Romeo Langford
PF: Jonas Valanciunas, Jeff Green, Haywood Highsmith
C: Rudy Gobert

One thing really stands out when looking at the depth chart, and that is the lack of a TRUE PF option. As much as the double big lineup was a large factor last year, we would love to play a more traditional line-up if 2k permits. We would love to shift Jonas Valanciunas to the bench to have a crack at the 6th man of the year award. With that being said lets take a look at some top targets for the Timberwolves in Free Agency.
In no particular order
1. Andre Drummond - Drummond is someone we would love to secure the services of, although not a PF option the team really needs maybe this would see the team move on from Jonas Valanciunas or maybe even Rudy Gobert? One thing we do know is, Andre is someone we would love to have around the building as he provides a great rebounding and lob threat. The Wolves GM has long been a fan of Drummond since his incredibly mediocre stint with his favourite NBA team the cleveland cavaliers.

2. JaVale McGee - Javale much like Andre Drummond is an elite 2k big man and rim running - rim protecting threat that we would love to bring into Minnesota. We saw what JaVale was capable of with CP and Luka last year, maybe he would consider signing with the wolves to play along side LaMelo (if he ever takes the court) and Jrue.
3. Otto Porter - Now we get to an option that makes a little more sense for the squad as it is currently constructed. Otto and Scottie rotating at the 3/4 spots would provide a fun and fast pairing for our guards to get out and run with as well as some extra shooting and defence on the perimeter. Otto looks like a good option.

4. Bruce Brown - another defensive wing who is on a nice contract in the NBA. We don't have the Joker but we do have LaMelo, maybe LaMelo can unlock some of Bruce's screen and roll game in 2k? Bruce is again another guy we are considering.
5. Kyle Anderson - Another big wing who can play some defence and score the ball a little. He's not actually a target of ours, I just want to see if GM Klemmello reads this piece.

Well there you have it folks, the wolves FA plan in a nutshell. What did we learn here? The Wolves GM clearly has no clue what he is doing and could be on the hot seat if he doesn't do well this FA considering the work the team put in last season to get a good record and get in good standing, only to be shipped out.
See you all on FA Day :)
