Wolves Awards
As another successful NSL season comes to an end, it would be remiss of Wolves management not to acknowledge those who make it possible. A massive thank you the admin team for all that you do for the league and keeping it going and growing every season, the NSL experience is second to none.
Wolves fans had plenty to cheer about this past season as the Timber pups are no more and the Timberwolves finish with the 3rd best record in the league at 66 16. This was capped off with our first playoff series win in NSL history however, it was a very short 2nd round when the wolves ran into the eventual 16-0 champions the Portland Trailblazers. Would things have been different with Khris Middleton? I guess we will never know.
The Awards
Jonas Valanciunas kicked off the awards for wolves this year coming away with ALL NSL 3rd team honours. Val averaged 16/12.5 and 1bpg on a ridiculous 69% FG from the floor and 95% from the line.
Khris Middleton was up next for the Wolves coming away with ALL NSL 2nd team honours. In what was deemed a down year for Khris by the Minnesota GM this is fantastic news. Khris averaged 19.6/3.6/3.7 on 40/41/97 splits. We ae extremely proud of Khris and look forward to his return next season.
Scottie Barnes managed to finish 2nd in 6 MOTY voting and 3rd in ROTY voting and making the ALL NSL ROOKIE First Team. It was a stellar season for the Minnesota rookie, he will be sorely missed in the future. We love you Scottie, please come back one day.
To cap off an incredible year for the Timberwolves Gm Ethan won the GMOTY award as voted on by the NSL GMs. This is greater than any other award or accomplishment listed above said Ethan. The fact that the hard work was recognised both in the win column and by the greatest basketball community I have come across is more than I could ask for.
Insider reports: Minnesota GM walking around talking about page 13, what could this mean?
I look forward to next season and hopefully remaining as competitive as we were this season.
Go Wolves.
