NSL Insider - Big 3 Rankingby Shams, updated on Tuesday, October 31 2023, 12:38 am EST Big 3s Ranking Disclaimer- It's very tough on some portions to decipher who should be where, I tried my best to rank according to the value the 3 bring together. Hope you enjoy! 1. Timberwolves: Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler, Jonas Valanciunas- Crazy to put them this high, but AD and Jimmy are so talented on both sides and Val adds a lot of value in 2k grabbing so many boards. 2. Spurs: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Vucevic, James Harden- The MVP and Harden carry this group, Vucevic is a good player but there are some 3rd players later on better than him. 3. Trail Blazers: Damian Lillard, Lebron James, Jakob Poeltl- Dame and Lebron could be an insane duo and get rid of the problems that were created by the position ruling. Poeltl is pretty good, he provides some good rebounding. 4. Grizzlies: Jaren Jackson Jr, Jaylen Brown, Bam Adebayo- None in this group are as a talented as Lebron and Dame, so that is why they are here, but they are all-star caliber players, with two guys who have DPOTY potential. 5. Rockets: Tyrese Maxey, Tyrese Haliburton, Nikola Jokic- These three are so super talented, the Tyrese's are breaking out, but haven't had NSL impact like they have NBA impact. 6. Lakers: Donovan Mitchell, Kevin Durant, Cade Cunningham- Not sure how they fit yet, it's tough to put them at 6, but there are so many good trios in the league. 7. Wizards: Devin Booker, Paul George, Deandre Ayton- Ayton helps the group go to 7 with the dominant 2k play, George and Booker played well enough to get to the Finals last year. 8. Nuggets: Stephen Curry, Domantas Sabonis, Klay Thompson- Curry wasnt as efficient last year, but they all played really good. 9. Nets: Lauri Markkanen, Jamal Murray, Kyrie Irving- Seeing how this team has played in the preseason they should make the playoffs barring injury. 10. Knicks: Kawhi Leonard, Demar Derozan, Chris Paul- All 3 performed very well, I would expect the same this year, even though CP3 wont produce in the NBA like last year his 2k prowess should continue. 11. Bucks: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Evan Mobley, OG Anunoby- Shai may make a case for MVP based on preseason, Mobley and Anunoby are really good, but the depth after them is what makes the Bucks so scary. 12. Pelicans: Luka Doncic, Pascal Siakam, Keldon Johnson- Luka and Siakam are a great duo, Keldon is good but he brings them down in this rank some. 13. Celtics: Jayson Tatum, Darius Garland, Alperen Sengun- Tatum was amazing last year being in the MVP convo, Garland was great being both a scorer and playmaker. Sengun is really good, just not sure how he translates to 2k. 14. Pacers: Brandon Ingram, Jrue Holiday, Victor Wembanyama- The Pacers should be really good, Wemby has very much impressed in preseason, this trio could go up in the rankings later on, dont have the superstar other teams do, although Wemby could be one. 15. Jazz: Joel Embiid, Julius Randle, Dejounte Murray- This is a great group, Dejounte came into form last year, Embiid is dominant and Randle is averaging 20 and 10 in the preseason. 16. Thunder: Anthony Edwards, Trae Young, Onyeka Okongwu- Two borderline superstars and a great 2k guy, Okongwu has done well in the NBA, but he is amazing here. 17. Heat: Jalen Duren, Ben Simmons, CJ McCollum- Duren played insane last year, Ben Simmons translates great being a big guard and CJ had a great year as well. Just dont have the higher tier talent other teams do, at least not yet with Duren still developing. 19. Hornets: Kristaps Porzingis, Ja Morant, Jusuf Nurkic- Ja and Kristaps are both really good, Nurk wasnt what he usually is but this trio is good enough to be in the middle range. 19. Suns: Zach Lavine, Karl-Anthony Towns, Jaden McDaniels- Laddas has got Lavine and KAT playing very well, McDaniels adds that defense those two need around them. 20. Cavs: Scottie Barnes, Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett- Very solid group, young and still growing, Brunson could get some 2k love and Barrett played well last season and this preseason. 21. Bulls: Lamelo Ball, Mikal Bridges, Nicolas Claxton- Have had some good preseason success, Bridges and Lamelo are a nice duo and Claxton is a valuable center who is just good all around. 22. Magic: Zion Williamson, Jarrett Allen, Aaron Gordon- This group needs to be healthy they are talented, but need to be healthy to do anything, Allen may take a small step back with 2k making him 2 inches shorter. Having a 69 center isnt ideal. 23. 76ers: Deaaron Fox, Andrew Wiggins, Malcolm Brogdon- Would probably be higher with Adams included, but with him out for the year hard to include him. 24. Pistons: Jalen Green, Anfernee Simons, Robert Williams- Very young trio, have shown success in NBA and some in the NSL, but none quite as good as the stars above. 25. Raptors: Rudy Gobert, Chet Holmgren, Devin Vassell- Gobert is great, Vassell and Chet are great players its just the 2k aspect. 26. Clippers: Jordan Poole, Paolo Banchero, Bennedict Mathurin- Poole has looked great in preseason, Banchero just won ROTY and Mathurin had himself a great rookie year as well. 27. Hawks: Desmond Bane, Tobias Harris, Deandre Hunter- Bane has yet to translate in 2k, but is a really good player, Harris underplayed last year likely due to the depth of the wings in Orlando. 28. Kings: Brook Lopez, Russell Westbrook, Bojan Bogdanovic- Kind of similar to what the Mavs got with veterans, Lopez is really good and Westbrook is holding onto the attributes and tendencies 2k gave him before. 29. Mavericks: Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart, John Collins- This team is more seasoned than 30, Collins was a good 2k guy last year, theres not really a star though. 30. Warriors: Herb Jones, Khris Middleton, PJ Washington- Not much to say on this group, Jones and Washington still very young, but Middleton is not a 1st option at all, but hes best as a complimentary guy. |
