NSL Insider - Premium: The strength of each teamby merencio, updated on Wednesday, February 09 2022, 11:40 am EST
This week let’s talk about all positive things, the strength of each of your teams! But Merencio, if the team is mine, don’t I know the strength of my own team already? Quite possibly, but other GMs might enjoy another take on your team or maybe I provide a fresh perspective and give you something to think about. Eastern Conference Atlantic Boston Celtics Oh sweet youth! Your team is loaded with youth, by design that is, but it is not any type of youth, it’s the best type of youth, the one with mostly unlimited, untapped potential! Some of that youth is already blooming and some consolidated right before our eyes. Brooklyn Nets New York Knicks To be honest, I think the strength here is an all-timer of a GM heading the works, however, I’ll go flexibility here, because having Dame, Ingram, Capela and a shit ton of picks, mean the Knicks can really go in any direction. Philadelphia 76ers Toronto Raptors The core. When it is healthy and well, it is truly scary. Depth would have been a great choice too. Central Chicago Bulls The big men stable. For the third year in a row, the Bulls go ahead with the big men strength as their main point. Last year’s was even better. To think all of our bigs last year are top 30-ish players this year is a testament to our bad luck with the engine. Cleveland Cavaliers Synergy. This team, when it is nearly healthy enough, really seems to play together and work off each other. They have pulled of some eye-popping wins when given the chance. Detroit Pistons Without a doubt the big men depth, Gobert, Bam, Poetl makes for one, if not the best frontcourt in the league! Indiana Pacers I’m gonna say the depth. If this team can get the right combo of engine plus another star, the depth is in place for a serious run. Milwaukee Bucks So much young talent and unlimited potential. Kinda like Boston, but possibly better because they are a step ahead in the development as a team and Mobley is a step ahead of eeeeverybody. Southeast Atlanta Hawks The mix of young vs established talent that I really like. All it takes is a favorable engine and a breakout or too for you to be a playoff team because the established pieces are there, still young, all that’s missing is that star, maybe he’s arrived just undeveloped. Charlotte Hornets The skills, oh my lord the skills personified in the way of CP3 and Luka. The point god has never been better and Luka in 2k is unfair. Also each guy on this team knows their role and skill to perfection, not more, not less. Also, deeeeep. Miami Heat Orlando Magic A talented team with up and coming talent, which keeps getting better and better as the season progresses. 2k likes them too. Washington Wizards The staaars! Oh yeah, Biid and Book all the way! Btw, the resurgence of Bane has been a sight to see. Don’t like the attitude personally, but his game is awesome! Western Conference Denver Nuggets The SPLASHES! The shooting for ages, Steph, Klay, Trent and perhaps a couple rookies, this team can hit a 3 from the sidewalk! Never out of a game! Minnesota Timberwolves The blend of vicious veterans and young studs! Perhaps the best future powerhouse of the league? This team is stacked! Oklahoma City Thunder The NBA talent! They have that for ages! 2k just hates them is all. Anthony Edwards might be the best personality in basketball aside from Ja and he’s about to become unguardable in 2k. Just might have to wait a little more. Portland Trail Blazers The winning pedigree and the 2k nastiness! Team is built 2k veterans which are either great in real life, 2k or both. They know what they look for, and it’s the best players. Utah Jazz I know it’s getting old by now, but the rookies!! A year ago this team was a shell of a franchise and ONE draft class fixed that and gave them a whole squad. Again, this was made with ONE draft class! Pacific Golden State Warriors The short rotation! This time runs that better than anyone in the league. No one has gotten more with less this season, and it’s marvelous to see the GM’ship in display here! Los Angeles Clippers The depth of current and young talent. This team might never make a trade again for 10 years and might be a playoff team in every single one of them. Los Angeles Lakers Cade freaking Cunningham! I was not as high on the kid as the consensus, but he is damn good! He is skilled for days and 2k is gonna love him for a while. Phoenix Suns Sacramento Kings One of the craftiest and knowledgeable 2k GMs in history counts for a lot, but their strength lies in the multi-positional flexibility most of his guys have. Southwest Dallas Mavericks The assets. They can go in whichever direction they wan to with this team, because they have the pieces to parlay their way into deep rebuilds or deep playoff runs in 2 years. Houston Rockets The Spurs/Patriots of the NSL, that is how I call them. Their strength is the playstyle and the system. Nothing is above the system and nobody is. And Vitt is Pop/Bellichick. Memphis Grizzlies D# clap clap D# clap clap D# clap clap. Everybody can defend, they always could but 2k never cared about that. This year they do, and 2k loves them. Probably the team 2k loves the most comparing one year to the other. New Orleans Pelicans All due respect to Spida, but Ja fuc*ing Morant plays for this team and that is their strength. San Antonio Spurs The best BIG THREE in the league, period! Bron and Jimmy are superhuman in the game and the rest absolutely can score, defend, or both, in the case of Jrue. Favorites to win another one. Hope you enjoyed it, see you next time! |
