Game 1 Sacramento 107 – 109 Portland Opening the series with a tight contested game Portland took
control of the series with a 2 point win behind a team effort with 4 players
scoring over 15 points and the bench all chipping in. James Harden lead the
Blazers with a 27 point, 10 assist performance. LeBron James was dominant all
night in taking this game down to the wire finishing with 47 points, 9 assists
and 9 rebounds. The series is looking like a tight one. Game 2 Sacramento 111 – 118 Portland Game 2 Portland made the change to have Kawhi Leonard guard
LeBron after his monster game 1 that saw the Kings nearly take home court
advantage. The move paid off slowing LeBrons scoring output with LeBron only
able to muster 32 points. James Harden once again lead the Trail Blazers to
victory with 26 points and 10 assists. Portland lead 2-0 with the series
heading to Sacramento. Game 3 Portland 115 – 123 Sacramento Sacramento takes game 3 in another high scoring affair at
home behind an evenly spread offense with 6 players scoring in double figures. LeBron
shot 50% for the game finishing with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Where
the unlikely scorer for Portland, Rudy Gay kept the Blazers close with 27
points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists. Game 4 Portland 140 – Sacramento 113 Huge game from Portland to take control of the series with
the opportunity to end the series on home court in game 5. The Blazers shot a
scorching 54% for the game with 6 players scoring in double figures and another
big game from Rudy Gay. Gay finished the game with 26 points, 13 rebounds, 4
assists with 3 steals and a block. The Kings also had 6 players scoring in
double figures but the team efficiency wasn’t on their side in this one Bledsoe
lead the Kings with 23 points and 6 assists. Series heads back to Portland with
the Blazers getting a chance to advance to the NSL finals. Game 5 Sacramento 130 – 137 Portland Portland advances to the NSL finals with another huge
efficient game with the team shooting 60% from the field behind James Hardens
32 point, 10 assist effort and having 6 players scoring in double figures. The
Kings were just as impressive in this game and in this series but Portland have
proved to be to strong for them. LeBron fought hard to avoid elimination
finishing with 35 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists. Portland moves on to face the Chicago Bulls in the inaugural
NSL finals. |
