Say hello to our Little friend

The Warriors will probably get annihilated for this trade, but Clay has a knack of making sentimental trades a bit too often.

“We’ve been trying to get TBJ for literally a year now, and we jumped at the opportunity, although while probably “overpaying” we’re excited with our return” Titles told the media early Tuesday morning.

People also need to watch Nassir Little. The guy has all the tools to be a force on the wing in the NBA. He just turned 21 this spring and has shown several flashes that he’s putting it together. And oh yeah, he’s from Jacksonville.

When asked about Little, Titles became giddy. “He played high school ball just down the street from me, actually. He was the biggest name to come out of JAX in quite a while and considered a better prospect than Jacksonville’s darling Grayson Allen. I’ve been watching him for years, so we’re elated to bring him into the fold out West. I fully believe, still to this day, he has a higher ceiling than anyone else in this deal”

While Jalen Smith was a top ten pick in this past draft, Titles has seen enough. “We don’t want to build a team of glitches guys and have to rely on that. We are swinging for the fences here trying to find the real deal. Even if Nassir and Troy do not turn out to be what we think they can be, especially defensively, then we’ll just chalk it up as a mistake and move on. It’s part of building from the ground up and trying to compete long term. We need stars, not role players.”

A lot of turnover has happened in Golden State this year, with the biggest addition clearly being Andrew Wiggins, so we’re not sure why the Dubs thought they needed more defensive wings, but here we are. It will be interesting to see what the Warriors do in the draft regarding their front court. They clearly have a cornerstone in Ayton, but what about Poeltl? Will he be on the move before the deadline to create more flexibility? All sources say the phones are still being worked in Oakland.
