A-Capela

A-Capela

I
n a deal that has rocked Washington this week, beloved sons Jusuf Nurkic and Taurean Prince were traded to the Phoenix Suns for Clint Capela and Juan Toscano-Anderson (aka The Mexican Steph Curry) who will arrive at a later date once he is unblocked and available for trade.

First off we would like to thank Jusuf and Taurean for not only their on-field contributions but all the work they've done in the community who we wish nothing but the best going forward. Now onto why the Wizards made the deal. As good as we believe Nurkic is as a player, he wasn’t the perfect fit for the vision that Joshua had for the team. “We want, scratch that, we need a pick and roll lob threat that gobbles up rebounds and plays hard defensively and Capela embodies this to a tee” Joshua was recorded saying earlier today. Capelas very reasonable contract (14.8 million this year, 16 million next year, 17.1 million the following year and 18.2 million in the final year) and perfect age to be in his prime alongside star Devin Booker with Clint being only 25 years old. All theses factors led to Joshua pulling the trigger on the deal.

Its unfortunate that Capela is out injured for an indefinite amount of time with a heel injury but we wish him a speedy recovery and hope we can make it back in time for the playoffs if we were to make it.

Now onto the the player you’ve all be waiting to hear about, dubbed the Mexican Step Curry after winning the Mexican league MVP two season ago Juan Toscano-Anderson! A 6’6 wing that defends his ass off and doesn’t allow his opponent space to think to go along with an improving shot and above average rebounding instincts, Juan has all the makings of a late blooming 3 and D wing that every team covets. If he can develop into a player that can see rotational minutes Joshua sees this deal as an absolute win.

Until next time Wizard fans…
