Also injuries

This is getting funny.

As Charlotte's unrealistic playoff hopes fade away, the roster's health is also fading.

The season started with starting wing Justise Winslow out for the first 3 weeks due to strict concussion protocol. With most of the roster being young unproven players, the loss would prove too much to handle and the Hornets got off to a 4-7 start.

Caris LeVert snuck an unwarranted healthy week in there before getting ruled out for week 4 with a bung thumb -- the week that Winslow returned.

Winslow enjoyed 1 healthy week and then in a cruel twist of fate would again miss games, this time for a niggling lower back strain. Sarcastic jeers were heard from other GM's, with comments such as "karma" and "justice" being common words associated with Charlotte's injury situation.

LeVert and Winslow have not yet played a game together, which is a situation that is sure to keep the wins low. (see what i did there? eh?)

Joining them on the injury list this week is Jonah Bolden -- someone who has started every game for Charlotte so far this season (albeit unspectacularly). He has achilles soreness so presumably he wont be out too long.

Nicolas Claxton, someone who we could've used to cover some of Bolden's lost minutes, has also been ruled out with hamstring soreness.

But wait, there's more. Today Luka Doncic -- NBA superstar and general manager butt buddy - sprained his ankle and will probably miss multiple games, and Lonnie Walker injured his leg in a non-contact way (diagnosis unknown). If they miss games in NSL, then that is officially our entire original starting 5 out of action.

The 7-13 Hornets find themselves in sticky situation. Sure, they're not expected to win, but we would really love to see how our boys play together on the court so we know what direction to go in from a transaction perspective. Right now we are sort of in this limbo, waiting to see what we've got. As we dry our tears however, Evan Turner has emerged from the smoke with his return from injury, so we will probably win the championship now. See you all at the parade.
