Free Agency in Milwaukee
The Depth Chart As It Stands.
PG: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kam Jones, Jd Davison
SG: Lu Dort, Sion James
SF: Brandon Ingram, Jarace Walker
PF: Evan Mobley, Kyle Anderson, Bobi, Klintman
C: Jakob Poeltl, Yanic Konan-Neiderhauser
What do we need??
The Bucks have agreed to a few trades in recent weeks which sees us sitting at 12 players heading into Free Agency Day. The 12 players includes our 3 rookies from this years draft that we are still yet to sign. Upon looking at the depth chart, there is a clear need for some guard depth and likely another C is needed. 3 spots and about 140 points to make some magic happen to flll the roster for this season!
Key Targets:
Kevon Looney
Looney has spent the last two seasons with me, both in Minnesota and in Milwaukee. He has ben extremely valuable both as a bench big and a spot starter when needed. We will attempt to bring him back with a big bid on FA day. Run the gauntlet if you wish.
Guard Depth:
There are a few players we will consider putting bids on here, depending on how the day shakes out. We will likely look for 1 more PG eligible player and 1 more SG eligible player.
Potential Targets Include: Gary Trent Jr, Russell Westbrook, DiAneglo Russell, Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, Bruce Brown, Tim hardaway Jr
Obviously there are a lot of names there and a lot of names that people are going to be hot after on Free Agency Day. These players are players that can fill a need and contribute off the bench for us. If all goes well we will land a couple of our targets tomorrow.
Now the real question is, are these our real targets or are they smoke bombs?? in the famous words of Kanye West "I guess we'll never know"
