The Season Approaches
Minnesota Timberwolves News
As pre-season comes to a close, the Timberwolves have had many of their questions answered! Does Jimmy Butler and Anthony Davis work? Yes, it does. This duo might be the best "two-way" duo in the league, Jimmy can handle the teams best perimeter player on any given night while AD can man the paint and wreak havoc on those who dare to challenge him at the rim. Jimmy Butler is currently averaging 22.8ppg, 5.5rpg and 7.2 apg through 12 pre season contests. AD is averaging 26.3ppg, 15.1rpg, 3.9apg and 2.4bpg this duo is well and truly primed for a big season.
However, the engine that makes our team run as many know is Jonas Valanciunas, the Lithuanian big man is just about as good as it gets for a front court pairing with Anthony Davis, JV doesn't command the ball, he is efficient with his touches and he's not afraid to bang around in the post and rip down some rebounds, through pre season Jonas is averaging 19.7ppg, 17.9rpg while only having a time with ball average of around 85! Extremely efficient production.

Free Agency
With NSL Free Agency fast approaching, the wolves have plenty of holes to fill in the roster. This is arguably the most important free agency to date for the timberwolves as we do have high aspirations for this coming season and think if we nail this, we will be right up there with the leagues elite. We need some players at every position so have named a few targets below.
PG: Schroder, Donte Divincenzo, Jevon Carter, Derrick Rose
All of these players have different skillsets that would be beneficial in helping back up the newly acquired De'Anthony Melton.
SG: Shake Milton, Seth Curry, Josh Richardson, Lonnie Walker
Again, these players all have a variety of skillsets that are of interest to the wolves GM, and to be honest, we really can't be that picky, we need bodies on the bench that can help contribute.
C: Christian Wood, Thomas Bryant, Cody Zeller, Drew Eubanks
At the 5 spot, majority of the minutes will be manned by AD and Val, so we really only need a servicable big man to play spot mins or can fill a hole when one of our big guys miss time.
The forward positions will be discussed at a later date.
The Timberwolves have had a lot going on behind the scenes of the NSL but things look to be on the up, can't wait for the season to start and GO WOLVES
