ROOKIE OF THE WEEK WATCH - Week 4
| PLAYER | TEAM | WHY | STATS | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | PER 20.26 | ![]() Eastern 1-3 | Ace Bailey was a little bit of a headache when it came to working out for teams but he's a headache you're willing to have. Over week 4, he's been in double digits 3 out of the 4 games, one being a 30-point game and the other being a 25-point game. 19.8ppg and 6.8rbg from your wing is promising before he hits the age of 20. | 19.8 PTS 6.8 REB 3.3 AST 1.3 STL 1.5 BLK |
![]() | PER 9.50 | ![]() Eastern 1-3 | A highly touted undrafted FA, Daniss seems to have find his calling in the league...scoring the ball. This week he struggled from the field shooting just 38% but he contributed in other ways like Rebounding 4 boards a game and 5 assists a game. Exciting to see where he can go moving forward. | 10.5 PTS 4.0 REB 5.3 AST 0.3 STL 0.8 BLK |
![]() | PER 11.58 | ![]() Eastern 1-3 | With his time ticking up in week 4, Wolf was able to show he can help in a few ways. Rebounds at almost 6 with only 16 mins played is super impressive for a rookie as well as almost a block. Hopefully they can find some more time for him moving forward. | 4.8 PTS 5.8 REB 1.5 AST 0.3 STL 0.8 BLK |
![]() | PER 11.27 | ![]() Eastern 2-2 | Micah saw his minutes double in week 4, which in return he doubled his points and assists, and tripled his rebounds. A 6'7 Wing that seems to be a solid rebounder and likes to get his shot up, seems like the prototype for wings nowadays. Cleveland is a team pushing for contention, I see a tougher path to him getting 20+ minutes consistently. | 7.5 PTS 3.3 REB 1.8 AST 0.5 STL 0.3 BLK |
![]() | PER 10.22 | ![]() Eastern 3-1 | The Miami Heat are FEEDING Noa Essengue time in this past week. His numbers aren't jumping off of the Page but when he's on the court, his +- is in the positive and that's what you're looking for when you are in the game. In the time he started the Heat went 3-1 and at the end of the day, the league is about winning and Noa is a winning player. | 8.0 PTS 4.3 REB 4.0 AST 2.0 STL 0.8 BLK |
![]() | PER 22.68 | ![]() Western 0-4 | Portland is just spoiled with riches. Both Dylan Harper AND Cooper Flagg. Dylan Harper has been playing his butt off, 25ppg & 7Ast, your perfect Robin (not an insult) to a Batman of Cooper Flagg. Steal a game, he struggled to shoot the ball this week but that'll get better with time in the league. I think he will be a top 3 point guard in this league by year 5. | 24.8 PTS 3.8 REB 7.3 AST 1.0 STL 0.3 BLK |
![]() | PER 16.52 | ![]() Western 0-4 | Khaman Maluach is my hope for the traditional Big Man not being dead.18ppg and 10rb with a block and a half, Khaman has been great for Phoenix. Shooting SIXTY percent from the field and a solid 73% from the free throw line, he's a big man you can rely on. Moving forward as he continues to grow into his body, as he's only 20 years old, he will become even more dominant. | 17.5 PTS 10.3 REB 2.8 AST 1.5 STL 1.5 BLK |
![]() | PER 20.89 | ![]() Western 0-4 | Cooper Flagg has lived up to EVERY expectation in this league. 27ppg, 7rbs and 7ast in week 4 already? I just hope they don't run the poor kid into the ground, 45 minutes a game. I don't blame Portland one bit; I'd probably even play him at 48 minutes if possible. Efficiency can get better but he's a rookie and he's going to be a STAR for years to come. | 27.0 PTS 7.3 REB 6.8 AST 0.8 STL 1.0 BLK |
![]() | PER 26.35 | ![]() Western 2-2 | Phewwww, VJ was on one this past week. 28ppg while shooting at 50% is IMPRESSIVE for a young rookie in this league. Excited to see where he can go in his career as a number one option and as he continues to grow as a player. He would be my choice as player of the week. | 27.8 PTS 5.5 REB 5.3 AST 0.5 STL 0.0 BLK |
![]() | PER 22.03 | ![]() Western 3-1 | Asa Newell is a high potential 6'10 Wing Hybrid type of guy that you just have a feeling he will end up being at minimum a very good role player. In just 15 minutes a game in week 4, he averaged 9.3ppg and 5rbs with almost one block shot. Efficiency for the year is SEVENTY percent, and 71% for last week, that is incredible. Seeing how his game changes throughout the year and years to come will be interesting because he isn't shooting any threes quite yet and I think that can be developed. | 9.3 PTS 5.3 REB 2.0 AST 0.3 STL 0.8 BLK |
