PLAYER OF THE WEEK WATCH - Week 4

PLAYERTEAMWHYSTATS

Zach LaVine

PER 36.13

Eastern
0-4
Zach LaVine this year is showing why you should always offer Zach LaVine package for a stud scorer who will probably go down in the NSL Hall of Fame when his career is called, just for his amazing amount of points dropped alone. This past week he poured in 47 a night and has been averaging 41 on the season in 40 minutes. 4 rebounds, 4 assists a steal and a block a game, and suddenly he and KD are neck and neck for the award this week!

Kevin Durant

PER 36.41

Eastern
2-2
Last week, Kevin Durant went off tap, even for Kevin Durant. 47 points a game with 4 rebounds, 7 assists, a steal and a block per game for the scorching hot Knicks. This is 10 points above his season average and up in other categories too, propelling his team to more wins even though they now have suffered a couple of losses. This man, is on fire.

Karl-Anthony Towns

PER 30.10

Eastern
2-2
Towns actually had a slightly down week compared to his season numbers with 28 points a game, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks, but his efficiency particularly from deep has got him a nomination. I don't think he quite matches up to the other guys on the list, but he's having a stellar year for the Raptors.

Brandon Ingram

PER 30.33

Eastern
3-1
Ingram appeared muted early on in the year, but whatever was plaguing him early has gone by now and last week he was the offensive torching stud we have seen for a number of years in the NSL. 37 points a game last week with 6 rebounds and 6 assists, and 2 steals to boot. This is what Ethan envisioned when he traded for Ingram to play with Shai and if he can get a legit 1-2 threat going, the Bucks are deadly.

Lebron James

PER 32.53

Eastern
3-1
Lebron debuts, the Wizards start winning and Lebron features in the POTW award immediately. Coincidence? No, this is Lebron. Even though he's showing signs that this might just be his last season, he's still atop the mole hill and a league winner averaging 35 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks per game this past week, scorching from the field too. And, only 1.5 turnovers. All hail.

Luka Doncic

PER 30.52

Western
1-3
Luka has been dynamite this season so far and last weeks 38 points in less minutes, with 6 rebounds, 8 assists, a steal and a block per game highlight how much he is the focal point for the Pelicans. And he's getting defensive numbers, which is something his opponent in Harden did none of last week. He's hard pressed to beat out the Giannis/Joker pair, but he's trying.

Anthony Davis

PER 25.30

Western
2-2
The Brow is back and in his opening week of the year poured in 30 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 2.5 blocks per game, exploding the Wolves back onto the scene. Maybe the lowball trade offers will stop now as this truly elite NSL man shows he's still the big guy to be reckoned with.

29.5 PTS

Nikola Jokic

PER 29.75

Western
3-1
Jokic came to play this week even more so and got the team some extra wins along the way. 31 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals per game last week all saw increases on the season and he shot it a staggering 71/75/93 splits. If you're not voting Giannis, it's hard to not go for this guy and he has officially surely arrived even for the eyes of Vitt.

30.8 PTS

14.5 REB

6.8 AST

James Harden

PER 33.57

Western
3-1
Harden has averaged 25 points on the season which is well below what we are used to, and that's including after this past weeks 41 points per game explosion. add 4 rebounds and 7 assists, and the star is back on track for the Jazz fighting through injury and aprons to try and claw up the standings before they have to blow it up. Harden, doing all he can...at least on the offensive end.

41.5 PTS

3.5 REB

Giannis Antetokounmpo

PER 34.58

Western
4-0
Giannis is as Giannis does and he was again last week. He has an amazing +24 on the year for the Spurs as they are rolling again behind their star, even if he's due to miss some time soon. 33 points, 11 rebounds and 8.5 assists a game last week with 2 steals and he shot it 70% from the field. The man is amazing.
