NSL 2023-24 Season

Free Agency

The original plan was to renounce Goga Bitadze and put 99 GM points on Jae Crowder. But 2k released an update, and Goga Bitadze has looked great in practice since then. So we ended up keeping him. This is after I told multiple general managers that I was dropping him. I could tell this hurt a lot of plans for general managers that were chasing after centers this free agency.

So Houston has 5 centers now: Nikola Jokic, Paul Reed, Goga Bitadze, Christian Koloko, and Colin Castleton. But they are all trade blocked. Christian Koloko, however, is tradeable, but he is injured.

Teams in the NSL are in a scramble this week for centers after losing out in free agency. Low end guys like Bruno Fernando and Mike Muscala are commanding a future 1st round on the market right now. Houston will have to wait 70 days (end of January) before we can even talk about trading centers.

So in the end, we ended up spending all our GMs on future 2nds. Congratulations Charlotte on landing Jae Crowder

Can Tyrese Haliburton and Tyrese Maxey co-exist?

I freaking love these guys. Shout out to Laddas, the general manager of the NSL Phoenix Suns for hooking me up with Tyrese Haliburton. As long Haliburton maintains the shooting guard eligibility, then he is here to stay. But as he begins to lose that eligibility, then I have to consider trading him.

Who are some guys that you think Houston should trade Tyrese Haliburton for? Paolo Banchero? Scottie Barnes? Evan Mobley?

Championship Contenders?

Our stars look great:

Houston has always been a borderline play-in team. But this year our stars are looking well developed. Do we have what it takes to compete for a championship this year? I think Memphis is going to own us as long as they have Jaren Jackson Jr. And we have nothing to stop Giannis and the San Antonio Spurs. But outside of that, I think we can compete with Minnesota, New Orleans, and Denver for 3rd place in the West.

We also managed to stockpile some 2nds in case we need to make a trade to make the team better.
