Playoffs Around the Corner

We only have 1 game left in the season and looks like well finish 8th place in the Western Conference (16th in the league). This is two slots lower than we finished last season although I feel like we have a better team this year. I just didnt care much about regular season. All I really cared about was that we made it into the playoffs. I dont think our team has a chance against Portland or San Antonio, and we been stuck behind Minnesota and Memphis as well for the past year or two. I still wanted to make playoffs and see if injuries play in my favor, but I wasnt planning on making moves this year in order to make a championship push as I am still waiting for my players to evolve.

Still Waiting on Maxey and Haliburton

Both Tyrese Maxey and Tyrese Haliburton made major jumps this year. Their tendencies have jumped up a bit as well to where they can put up 20 point games now. But they just dont have winning DNA yet. When going against championship caliber teams, they just fall short. Against bad teams though, they can really pad up the stats.

Team Stat Rankings

PTS 7th (102.3 PTS)
REB 17th (49.8 REB)
OREB 9th (11.6 OREB)
DREB 22nd (38.3 DREB)
AST 4th (24.1 AST)
FG% - 13th (0.430 FG%)
3P% - 15th (0.350 3P%)
3PM 14th (8.2 3PM)

When I first looked at this, I didnt understand why I was  7th in scoring and still 16th in the league. But I see now, that my team was hurting in defensive rebounds. I think this will fix now that Paul Reeds rebounding skill has evolved. But it might still be hard justifying keeping him in the starting lineup because he doesnt score much.

Playoffs

Now that playoffs are about to started, Im actually paying attention to my team to see what adjustments I need to make. Ill say that over the past week, I still havent figured out my team yet. We play the LA Clippers in the first game of the play-in tournament, and I dont feel quite confident about matching up against them yet. The team is very young and although I have Joker, they can just play me off the court by being more athletic.
