NSL Insider - NELSBET Odds - Player Awardsby Nels, updated on Saturday, November 08 2025, 02:46 am EST NELSBET Odds for the 2025-26 – Player Awards Another year is about to kick-off in the NSL and with the NBA season about to start, what better time to release the NELSBET NSL Player Awards for the upcoming season. Last season featured some new and old faces in the player awards with Giannis once again locking down the MVP and DPOY (the second time he’s won both awards), while Tyler Herro broke out in Sacramento with a healthy nerfing from GM Klemm, while Shams cheesed Anfernee Simons to the MIP award in a season where he averaged more than 20ppg off the bench, a feat rarely achieved. The Rookie of the Year mirrored the NBA which doesn’t always happen, Stephon Castle of the Memphis Grizzlies was the preferred standout against a field of competitive big men. Many of the awards reflected a guard favourable engine, so it will be interesting to see if the odds are reflective of this in the trend, or will the pendulum swing back to a big favourable engine in the 2025-26 2k? As a result, some markets are already up on the NELSBET while others are yet to be determined due to team rotations, roster completion and roles to be established through training camp. This article will outline the big 3 awards and the early movers - MVP, DPOY and Rookie of the Year. Sixth Man and Most Improved will follow in future articles. 2024-25 Award Results:

NSL MVP Odds
Victor Wembanyama $2.90 This year’s MVP presents as a 3 horse-race with the reigning MVP Giannis slated in at the 2nd spot behind the emerging megastar Victor Wembanyama. Both situated in the Western Conference, both dominate at either end of the floor, both are giants for their position and both will be able to chase a title this season. They seem destined to meet in big games throughout the season, which will be must-watch NSL viewing. The third horse in the race is SGA, the best player in the Eastern Conference and glitch at the PG position. It’s almost a smart move to back the 3 and see what the returns are, as it will be hard for many to rival their NSL impact. Steph Curry who recently arrived in Cleveland provides wonderful value at $6.80 and will play a role like SGA as the go-to guy in an Eastern Conference powerhouse Cleveland team. Doncic, Edwards and Jokic are all top tier NBA guys and will need their NSL GM to work hard to put together a team that will win enough to get them in the picture for the award. They’re great value around the $10 mark.
Rookie of the Year
So far this NBA season the Rookie class has looked amazing- while Cooper Flagg has been slow out of the gates, playing a role that is more like a point guard than a point forward, VJ Edgecombe and Dylan Harper have looked as promising as any guard prospects over the previous 5 years. Cedric Coward appears to be another sleeper snapped up by Rootsy and Kalkbrenner is yet another big man hit for GM Pistol and his Miami Heat! It’s no secret that the big men usually vote well in the NSL which is reflected in the odds. Cooper Flagg - $2.10 Defensive Player of the Year The two leading candidates for the MVP will also feature heavily in the DPOY voting and might even share the awards where the consolation prize is the DPOY. In NSL land it’s a two-horse race, Wemby vs Giannis, though there are some risers who offer a ton of value at their advanced odds. Many punters are gravitating towards Chet Holmgren who looks to be the anchor in Indiana, though Walker Kessler is a huge chance to eat into his minutes which has inflated his odds. Kessler will be high on the 6MOTY odds when they’re released, no doubt. Mobley or Dort could be genuine sleepers in Milwaukee who will have one of the great defensive schemes this season with every starter able to intimidate the opposition’s offence. If Wemby misses time, Thompson could be the candidate in LA. Bam, Scorttie and Draymond all represent supreme value at $50+. What will Gobert look like in San Antonio? He’s a former winner of the DPOY. Is Davis still a DPOY/MVP contender? Maybe, if the Wolves can still contend. Victor Wembanyama $1.40 |
