NSL Insider - Team by Team: Portland Trailblazersby sheed36, updated on Wednesday, December 11 2024, 05:28 pm EST Highlights
of the season The great
and feared Portland TrailBlazers started the season with an incredible roster
with Lebron and Lillard, two players who could take the team to the finals
again. However, gm JMac decided to take a more spiritual route and like a
30-year crisis decided to implode his team. He traded his main players for all
the possible picks. Despite the dismantling, Portland managed to come out with
a positive balance of 44 wins, guaranteeing a place in the Play-in. Low points
of the season Despite the
win against the mighty Grizzles in the first game, the Blazers had a new face.
But to make the playoffs they had The Ant and the Thurders. The task was much
more difficult for White, Braun, OG, Herb Jones and Walker Kessler against an
established Thunders team. Best trade: The Atlanta
Hawks send Damian Lillard to the Portland Trail Blazers. The LA
Lakers send Jarace Walker, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Brandin
Podziemski to the Atlanta Hawks. The LA Lakers send Caleb
Houstan and Olivier-Maxence Prosper to the Portland Trail
Blazers. The LA Lakers send Rudy Gobert to the Toronto Raptors. The
Portland Trail Blazers send Kevin Durant to the LA Lakers. The
Toronto Raptors send Tobias Harris to the Atlanta Hawks. The Atlanta
Hawks send a 2nd-Rounder (Por) and 2nd-Rounder (Atl) to the
Portland Trail Blazers. The LA Lakers send a 1st-Rounder
(Cle) and 1st-Rounder (Atl) to the Atlanta Hawks. The LA Lakers
send a 2nd-Rounder (LAL), 2nd-Rounder (LAL), 1st-Rounder
(GS) and 1st-Rounder (LAL) to the Portland Trail Blazers. The LA
Lakers send a 2nd-Rounder (Dal) to the Toronto Raptors. The Portland
Trail Blazers send a 1st-Rounder (Sac) to the Atlanta Hawks. The
Portland Trail Blazers send a 1st-Rounder (Was) to the LA Lakers. The
Toronto Raptors send a 1st-Rounder (LAL) to the LA Lakers. The
Toronto Raptors send a 1st-Rounder (LAL) to the Portland Trail
Blazers. The trade
that brought Damian Lillard to the Portland Trail Blazers is undoubtedly a
masterstroke. The franchise, which has been chasing a championship with LeBron
James, now has the opportunity with most talented and loyal point guards in the
NSL. When
comparing what Portland received and what it gave up, the trade proves to be
extremely favorable. By acquiring Lillard, the team secures an elite player who
can lead the team for many years. In contrast, the loss of Kevin Durant,
although painful, opens up space for a faster and more focused in a strong duo
with Lebron. Additionally, the quantity and quality of the draft picks received
in exchange are a valuable asset for any franchise. This combination of an
established star and future assets makes this trade considered a great success
for the Portland Trail Blazers. Worst trade The Atlanta
Hawks send Killian Hayes to the Portland Trail Blazers. If you are
receiving Killiam Hayes in a trade you are losing. The
Portland Trail Blazers have made a significant trade, acquiring Paul George
from the Washington Wizards in exchange for LeBron James and other assets. Star: It's
hard to determine who was the real star of the Trailblazers last season. Is
kinda confuse even to write this TBT because this team changed a lot. If you
have Lebron James in your team you can’t forget to mention him as the main
pillar of the team for at least half year. Now Bradley Beal is the current star
and is ready to be the new mainstay. His
goal is to keep the team relevant in the strong Western Conference. But we all
know he won't last the whole season. Portland has aggressive rebuilding plans
that have yet to be finalized. Draft
Grade: Blazers had
two picks in the 2024 draft, the most relevant being number 2. With him Blazers
picked Zaccharie Risacher who was immediately sent to some random team in the
league. The second choice was Harrison Ingram, who also didn't stop for a
second in Oregon. The Future THIS!!!
