Mambo No. 5
16 games into the season we sit 8-8 not the most ideal after starting the season hot at 6-2. What are good signs despite the 2-6 record over the last 2 weeks is how close we are coming to these top sides in the east and west. If you told me we were going 0-4 this week I would have agreed with you, if you said we would have a chance to win every one of those games I'd think you were mad, but if you told me would go on to lose every game this week by a 5 point margin I'd be asking you for next weeks lottery numbers. This week we had our toughest week yet with opponents combined winning percentage of 0.703. We opened up the week optimistic hoping luck would fall our way and we might be able to pinch 2 games from the Knicks and the Wizards but the power of stars will beat a young core and role players all day. We have reached out for trades this week to sure up our future but both trades were a no go with 1 literally not showing up to click accept and the other wanting way too much for his boi.

I tested this game specifically as I wanted to see how Brandon Clarke looked at SF, we won in testing so I ran it again and we won again 2 more times before I went forward with these settings. Come the real thing and we lose by 5 after the Knicks visited the line 31 times not to discredit them Fox got whatever he wanted inside all game and a familiar face that regressed long ago that just doesn't stop putting up monster numbers in 2k Deandre Jordan was an unstoppable 2 way force. I just felt we were a stronger team and thought this was set to be a win. The first of the 5 point losses.

Ugly, ugly game. I genuinely think the Clips are a better team with Giannis playing inside but hey not my team right. He instead wrecked havoc on my guards. Fournier and Bogdanovic shooting a combined 10-43 the only saving grace was they visited the line 16 times between them. They got up by 20 at 1 point and we fought the game all the way back to 2 points before Giannis decided he was ready to take over and left us shaking our heads unable to stop him.

Josh messaged me the start of this one going good luck but if we lose I quit the league. I told him to send me Booker on his way out. This game evenly fought at 40-44 Washingtons way going into the half. I had basically all but called GG knowing Book was about to tear Fournier apart in the 2nd half. To our amazement we came out hot and couldn't miss until Brunson took over and buried us with back to back 3s, steals and some crafty inside finishing. Joshua lives to play on as the Wiz GM.

I never thought we would get close to the Spurs, lucky for us they didn't have LeBron playing but still thought they'd blow me out. Near the end of the 3rd quarter they lead by as much as 15 and Cleveland only had 40 points on the board. Amazingly we put up 50 points in 15 minutes of play and had a chance to win the game with only 16 seconds left and down 1 point but got the 2k treatment and Bogdanovic dribbled an inbound all the way back to a backcourt violation. Disgusting. Spurs hold on in the free throw game and another 5 point loss.
