Round 1 Victors

Round 1 Victors

The Washing Wizards ate advancing to the second round baby!

First off we would like to thank Banderson and the Atlanta Hawks for the series that was an incredibly close series that just seemed to have moments that went our way at crucial times that lead us to win 4-1, the series could have just have easily have gone to 7.

The team was led by the unflappable Devin Booker who put up 32.4 points per game over the series on 47/39/100 shooting efficiency to go along with 5.4 assists, 4 rebounds and 2.2 steals (acquiring a date with the gorgeous Kendall Jenner was just a cherry on top of a great week) but Booker didn’t do it alone.

Our rookie wonder (and rookie of the year hopeful) Brandon Clarke had a very good series, playing lockdown defence on offensive hub and veteran LeMarcus Aldridge whilst scoring 15.6 per game of his own and movie the ball to keep the offense moving.

Clint Capela with his lockdown defence and domination on the boards helped whilst Garry Harris kept up his usual all round play and Lonzo Ball locking down the point guard position while setting up his teammates for easy buckets with his crisp passing and impeccable court vision.

Next up we have the Toronto Raptors, a team with deadly offensive options at each positions headed up by MVP candidate in Dame Lillard then 6th man of the year winner Jrue Holiday coming off the bench to manage the second unit the Raptors have very little weaknesses. Its going to be a tough task to beat this team in one game let alone in 4 times but these Wizards feel like they are up for the challenge.

This Washington squad may not start as favourites in this series or even close to even but with the confidence of youth, the tactics of their GM in Joshua and the lack of fear that is shown by players that have never been this far in the playoffs before the Wizards are going to try to bring a little magic to the series and pull a rabbit out of the hat for victory.

Go Wiz
