Indiana Pacers

Indy FA Recap

Yesterday was a season altering day for the Pacers. FA day has been a dark day for this Pacers Organization ever since the Drunken Disaster 2 years ago. And this one looked to be just as bad, until miracle after miracle happened yesterday that turned one of the worst benches in the league, into possibly one of the best in the league in a flash. The Pacers went into FA in a tizzy with the recent season ending injury to Walker Kessler, and came out rewarded.

Luke Kornet

Tim Hardaway Jr

AJ Green

Precious Achiuwa

Indy needed to fill out its roster and that's exactly what we did. Luke Kornet steps in right away and fills the backup center position that was left in a massive hole thanks to the Walker injury. Plus with Kornet being on a two year deal, Indy could be looking at a big man rotation of Kornet, Kessler and Holmgren next season. AJ Green is a young shooter on a long term, team friendly deal and now becomes the team's go-to sharpshooter. Hardaway provides a veteran presence and even more offense off the bench. And Precious provides size, defense, and rebounding at the PF position that this team has been very much lacking and in search of.

Indy GM Yeet went in with the intentions of signing either Lonzo Ball or DFS, and ended up with a luxury of depth with some smart trading and high spending.

Indy now projects to be a legit 10-11 deep this season with a veteran bench to back up a youthful starting unit. This Indy team hopes to exceed this year's expectations and go further than last year, and after FA, they just might have the team to do just that.
