Nets Nation - NSL Draft Report

Brooklyn Nets Exclusive
After what many in the NSL world would deem radio silence, the General Manager of the Brooklyn Nets appeared again, after a holiday away from the office. This reemergence coincided with the NSL Draft Lottery being conducted. GM Breece had crunched the numbers, and ran the odds hundreds of times, conservatively assessing the organisation’s chances of landing a top 3 pick.
Pre-Draft interviews revealed his reservations.
“ We are not going to be a team that hedges our bets on the possible. We are a team of realities and facts. I do not deal in speculation. I do not deal in the noise. As we await our future there are certain undeniable facts - firstly, we have the second best odds of acquiring the number 1 pick in this draft. Flagg would be a wonderful acquisition for any organisation, and in our team, he would fit perfectly. Secondly, and most importantly, the Portland Trailblazers have a monopoly on this draft, and firmly sit with the best odds. Reality. Our staff have assessed this draft in great detail, and what will be, will be. We love the talent throughout, namely Harper, VJ, Ace and Tre. The future will be brighter for the talents that are found in this draft.”

The results came in and the balls were drawn.
The Boston Celtics projected pick at 12 (1.5%), ended up falling at 12.
While the Brooklyn Nets pick with a 14% chance of winning the number 1 pick, ended up falling at number 3.
The crowd was ecstatic and the front office celebrated.
Post-Draft interviews highlighted the excitement of the Brooklyn Nets GM and his team.
“ Number 3! I thought we were bound to fall outside, and land the fifth pick in this draft. We have a real chance of adding a dynamic young player to complement our already proven roster. We can move in many directions with this list - we have Zach, Brandon, Marcus, Nikola, Dereck, and Bobby waiting to work alongside them. The post-season will be a great chance for us to assess, and think about who we want and need. Pat is still developing. Cody is still young. Jamal and JaKobe had stellar seasons, and should make one of the rookie teams, while we wait to see the future of Maxwell. All of the top talents could fit in with our make, and we are thrilled to see what the future holds come Draft Day.”

With the post-season upon the organisation, and the playoffs heating up to its climax, the Nets are looking forward to the upcoming season.
They currently lineup with:
1st - Smart/ Lavine/ Ingram/ Portis/ Lively
2nd - Shead/ Walter/ C.Williams /P.Williams/ Vucevic
Plenty to assess and consider as the team moves in 25/26 with pick 3 and 12 to make a big impact.
