Free Agency in Minnesota
Free Agency has come and gone for another year, much like Christmas, the NSL free agency is a time full of hope, joy, community and even disappointment. The disappointment comes from not getting that toy (player) you have spent the past few months thinking about, boy was GM Ethan disappointed, not in what we gained but in his lack of understanding of the signings lol. Gm Ethan head into free agency full open and with 165 GM points in his wallet to spend, to do the best to fill out the roster around his two superstars build.
Keita Bates Diop, was our first bid of the night with a whopping 0 GM points. The idea behind bidding on KBP was that we thought a lot of teams would bid on him and would give us some insight into where our algorithm was sitting for the night ahead. We win the bid, we sign KBP into cap space and shoot ourselves in the foot in the process. Not understanding the signing rules as in depth as I should, with this signing we immediately took ourselves out of play of some of the full MLE players like Dennis Schroder, who we had a keen eye for.
In saying that, we ended up locking in a main target for the night.

Donte DiVincenzo became THE target for us, as we liked the contract length, and he fit in the lack of cap space we had left ourselves. Ideally, we would have liked the option to choose between Dennis and Donte, but we are ecstatic to have brought Donte on board in our endeavours to get past the second round of the post season this year! Donte brings great size, shooting, athleticism and defence at his position and Coach Finch, is excited to put Donte's tools to work!

As for the rest of our night we brought in the very under rated 2-way wing in Torrey Craig, who has great size at the SF position and can stroke it from deep. We also added a human highlight reel in Dennis Smith Jr who is ready to climb the ladder and dunk on anyone at any given time. Lastly, we broguht in Reggie Bullock to help bolster the wing positions and provide some more 3 and D. Our final FA signing came 48hrs later in Kira Lewis Jr, another athletic guard, who's potential we hope to unlock in Minnesota.
A comment from the GM to our new acquisitions " you have the green light, let that sh*t fly from 3"
