The Remained

The Carry-Over

As has been covered in the media, nine trades have gone down this off-season that have featured Portland.

This means a lot of player turnover and a lot of movement, with no one safe from the trade table.

Who remains on the Portland Trailblazers Championship roster from 2021-22? Just four players reside in Portland who will receive Championship rings this upcoming season.

The Alpha
Kevin Durant

Theres no way the Portland team could have won the title carrying Kawhi. Durant was unequivocally amazing and clearly the best player in all of the playoffs. He is getting on in age and durability, but KD still represents one of the greatest builds ever to grace the court. Elite skill, shooting in with big man height, he is a nightmare matchup and a perennial MVP candidate. The price was big (Leonard, Portis, first), but the returns were bigger. KD is Portland.

The Veteran Tall
Alex Len

Acquired for very little, and years removed from his elite NLL days, Alex Len still represents a terrific back up tall. Possessing great height, size and strength, Len is able to effectively rebound, defend and finish inside. A key bench piece for Portland.

The Defensive Surprise
Stanley Johnson

Portland hit on quite a few of their 10-day contracts, with Stan the Man representing one of the best. A high-lottery pick from years ago, Johnson has worked his way back from the bust tag to hopefully becoming a useful pro. Great physical tools and a developing three-point shot. A key rotation piece.

The Towel Waver

Luke Kornet

Big Luke was also added as a 10-day contract. He impressed with his supreme height and good athleticism, as well as blocking instincts and a randomly decent three-ball. He is sticking around as depth.

The Prospects
Daishen Nix, Terry Taylor

Two young players, two bulls. Physical specimens Nix and Taylor will continue to put in work off the court so down the line the can help the Blazers on it.
