Portland Personnel Chaos Continues
Portland personnel chaos continues
In what is typically a quiet time of the NSL 12-month calendar, with sparse trades, news and entertainment, the Portland Trailblazers mustnt have gotten the memo to shut up shop.
Since July, when the NSL calendar/itinerary flips to a new chapter, and the Trailblazers hoisted the Peter Kingston Trophy high above the triumphant squad, Portland has participated in eight trades.
Eight.

Some would say this is reckless behaviour, and most would agree. With no marker or measure to test whether or not the team is better as is, or better after a trade, decisions are made on nothing more than a whim, a feeling, a quick evaluation. Players, picks and considerations go flying into, through and out of the Moda Centre, with the Front Office rolling the dice each time and hoping the puzzle pieces replacing the incumbent pieces cover the right area, taking up more space within the borders of the big picture.
I just cant switch off, from GM-mode JMAC explains.

I fail to disconnect from the role, to not have daily thoughts about trade leads, strategies, personnel decisions and player development. I find great enjoyment in the grind; this franchise has found success and it is in no short part in our relentless effort to always try our best, always put the effort in to communicate with others, and always remembering to dream big. The worst the other party can say is no, and that in itself motivates myself and my team. There is always something you can try to do to improve the organisations outlook.
The roster is currently at 14 players, including James Harden and Luke Kornet who are expected to return. What does this mean for FA?
We still have Free Agency needs, targets, confesses JMAC.
We are really happy with the roster. I will be holding a press conference in the coming days to welcome the players, officially.
