Premium:Too Early All-NSL Teams

All-NSL First Team (5)

Victor Wembanyama
His skill set is extraordinary. Straight out of a dream and lab, Vic blends rare physical tools with advanced basketball instincts and grace. Standing over seven feet four, he moves with guard-like fluidity, showcasing tight ball-handling, smooth footwork, and the ability to create his own shot. His shooting touch extends to the three-point line, making him a versatile offensive weapon. In 2k, this is probably the scariest archetype the world has seen. It has transferred to 2k25 and the NSL season. Defensively, Wembanyama is dominant: his timing, wingspan, and mobility allow him to block shots, contest perimeter attempts, and switch across positions. He reads plays quickly, alters offenses simply by his presence, and rebounds effectively. Wemby appears about 9ft tall in the game and covers ground like he has more than 2 arms. His combination of size, agility, and skill is unmatched. 40/17 and stocks for days, sheesh!

Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis demonstrates overwhelming physicality with every action on the court. He has been able to refine his shooting and playmaking. His explosive athleticism fuels dominant drives, relentless finishing, and elite transition scoring. He handles the ball fluidly for his size, creating advantages and finding open teammates with improved passing vision. The 2k God, Giannis is the envy of every other player and the envy of every other team and coach for not having someone close to that impact. Defensively, Giannis excels as a versatile, do-it-all stopper, with him protecting the rim, switching on the perimeter, and disrupting plays with daring blocks and steals. His motor, strength, and will to win is unmatched. The original stat-stuffer, forever 2k GOAT.

Kevin Durant

KD’s skills in 2k are timeless, making him one of the game’s most dominant scorers and ageing like wine. His elite shooting, especially from mid-range and three, creates constant matchup problems. Like Wemby, he looks about 8 ft tall in the game. Durant’s height and guard-like handles let him score from anywhere, while his smooth pull-ups and fades are nearly unblockable. He excels as a go-to option in isolation, pick-and-rolls, and late-game situations. His length also boosts defensive versatility, giving users a reliable two-way superstar who consistently shifts momentum. Smokey got him for a bargain and it is paying huge dividends already, as the Knicks shoot to the top of the contention hierarchy during the early parts of the season.

Anthony Edwards

Despite missing the first week, the Ant-Man has not missed a beat, returning in dominant form and seeing the Thunder right back at the top for another season running. in 2k, he is a dynamic offensive force with explosive athleticism and three-level scoring. His powerful dunks change the momentum of games. His quick first step, and smooth shot creation make him dangerous in isolation and transition and he has started the season in an unstoppable scoring rhythm. Edwards’ improved shooting ratings allow consistent jumpers off the dribble, while his strength helps finish through contact. Defensively, his speed and intensity create steals and fast-break chances, and he is a physical specimen who looks huuuuge in the game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

The reigning NBA MVP, SGA can lay claim to being the greatest player in the (real) world. In 2k, he is a monster and arguably the best guard, but still falls behind the giants of the game like Wemby, Giannis etc.. In game he plays exactly like the smooth, crafty superstar he is. His elite slashing ability shines through with slippery drives, controlled footwork, and unguardable change-of-pace moves. SGA’s mid-range pull-ups and step-backs are highly reliable, making him a go-to scorer in clutch situations. I am yet to see SGA take a bad shot or not make a bad shot look good. His excellent passing and incredibly steal timing mean he impacts the game in every facet you would want.

All-NSL Second Team (5)

Stephen Curry
Steph is doing Steph things, and the Cavs’ momentum is steadily building in their pursuit of a title. 6 threes a game to lead the league.

Nikola Jokic
The Joker is carrying the Nuggets with his superb skill and IQ. A supporting roster that is talented is being boosted by ethical 25/13/7 each night.

Karl-Anthony Towns

Dyl and the Raps will progressively improve all season. KAT is arguably their best player, 31/12 per game.

Tyrese Maxey

The other half of the Rockets’ duo that has surprised the league. He is now considered a great player and his impact reflects this.

Cade Cunningham
The new Pacer and controversial key trade piece in the Wemby trade saga, Cade is showing he is a star in his own right. 30 per game and setting up his teammates.

All-NSL Third Team (5)

Mark Williams
Dallas 2k darling, who is finally starting a season healthy, showing the gravity he has in 2k with Dallas leading the West (!!!).

Jamal Murray

The Robin to Giannis’ Batman, Jamal Murray looks explosive and sure of himself this season, ethically scoring and huge clutch factor.

Cooper Flagg
The rookie phenom is putting up numbers never seen by a rookie in 2k. Sure, he has been thrust into big minutes, but the 18 year old has been incredible with 32 ppg thus far.

Jalen Brunson
The basketball savant and real-life bobblehead, Brunson is the King of Toronto and his steady elite offensive play sees him nab a spot.

Jimmy Butler

Lots is made of the controversial manner in which he made his way to the 76ers, but his play on both ends has been stellar.

Yeah gotta agree with Joel. You're not getting into an all team(other than the rookies) with a poor record

Interesting read, to echo Pete you’ve left out the leagues top scorer in Booker which seems like an error but I guess that’s why it’s the too early version

Sure looks like tunnel vision, when you have Booker, Lavine, Markkanen, Michael Porter Jnr all ranked in the top 10 players in the league based on stats, none in your top 15 players for the season.
