PLAYER OF THE WEEK WATCH - Week 15

PLAYERTEAMWHYSTATS

Devin Booker

PER 40.94

Eastern
1-3
Booker had a great week for the tough week the Wizards had. He performed, but just didn't have near the help he needed. Considering there was no Jrue or Lebron, you can't fault him for the teams play. Just going to be hard to win it when you have others who are winning more games.

Karl-Anthony Towns

PER 24.49

Eastern
1-3
With Ja Morant out quite often KAT has needed to step up more this season on the offensive end, they did go 1-3 this past week, but two of the losses were very close and the win was close too. With the team not having a ton of depth, it makes an absence like Ja Morant's very known.

Jalen Green

PER 34.74

Eastern
2-2
Jalen Green has had kind of a jump this season, we saw him perform last year towards the end of the season, but it's good to see the play in a longer form. In 2k since last season he's been useful, his availability is something that goes unnoticed, since I don't think he's missed at all this year and played all last year. Much needed for Philly with Dejounte out.

LaMelo Ball

PER 30.71

Eastern
2-2
Lamelo has been a stud all season, he is averaging over 30 ppg and is towards the top of the league in assists. With the team currently sitting in 3rd in the East, it really shows how valuable he is. He could shoot a little better from 3, but it'd seem like nitpicking with how much good he does on the court.

31.0 PTS

5.3 REB

6.3 AST

0.5 BLK

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

PER 36.53

Eastern
4-0
Shai is always going to perform and has kept the Bucks toward the top of the conference, with the Fox injury there is a shot they could end up taking 1st place behind their reigning MVP winner in Shai. He performs defensively as well as offensively which is something you have to keep in mind.

42.3 PTS

5.0 REB

7.5 AST

2.5 BLK

Jonas Valanciunas

PER 26.84

Western
2-3
Jonas snuck on here with a 16 and 20 week, don't think he's got a chance to win it, he did play well though. Just grabs boards and scores here and there, doesn't do it anywhere near the level of the other guys on the list and the Wolves went 2-2, so I could see it more if they had went 4-0 him having more of a chance.

16.0 PTS

20.6 REB

2.0 AST

1.2 STL

1.6 BLK

Luka Doncic

PER 35.41

Western
2-2
Luka hasn't played often this year, but when he does he plays well. The offense is more built around him with Randle gone so Luka's scoring will probably still go up as the year goes on. There's a talented team around him, doesn't have the solidified number 2 with Gobert being great on defense but not really manning any offense.

32.8 PTS

6.8 REB

5.5 AST

1.0 STL

0.8 BLK

James Harden

PER 39.88

Western
3-1
Harden is shouldering the load for Utah with Embiid out for the year and shows night in and out he's still super useful. Just like the young Harden days, he shows no matter the guys in the lineup with him, he will bring the team to be competitive. They have some good players with him, but are low on big men right now.

49.0 PTS

6.0 REB

4.3 AST

0.0 STL

0.3 BLK

Giannis Antetokounmpo

PER 42.54

Western
5-0
Giannis is so good and it must be the reason everyone wants him. What doesn't he do? He scores, he defends, he rebounds, he assists, he doesn't shoot well from 3, but if he's dominant in every other category he doesn't really need to do that. The only thing that could hold him back for MVP is team success.

44.0 PTS

16.0 REB

6.8 AST

2.4 STL

2.2 BLK

Damian Lillard

PER 34.63

Western
4-0
There has been some skepticism on the Suns performing better without Lillard, but Dame is still a top talent. He had some high expectations coming into the year, but with many different injuries stacking on them, it's gotten to be very hard and they are actually exceeding expectations with so many injuries happening to them.

41.5 PTS

2.3 REB

2.8 AST

0.5 STL

0.0 BLK
