KLEMMELO 03/26/21 02:06 am | Class act by old mate
jessedunne 03/26/21 01:50 am | Thanks for the dealing Ethan
jmac 03/26/21 01:14 am | Too even to be a Kings deal
Nenjabin 03/26/21 01:09 am | Wait is this a Kings trade?
KLEMMELO 03/25/21 04:19 pm | Fuck totally missed that... You pleb Ethan for giving Dunne the chance to shed that much salary, what were you thinking? Its like the actions of a guy who, I dunno... Also has some unexplained motivation to take on salary for some stupid reason. Makes zero sense. Someone also please help me out when they get the chance, to explain past the box score numbers of 8/6/2 and 10/9/2 from MR/Miles and 75/82 overalls while both still trying to fully establish themselves In their respective teams rotations... Opposed to the 17/4/5/1 and 14/6 put up by Levert/Bryant... 83/80 overall... while both hard locked in their NBA teams as cornerstone pieces... two top 60-80 guys in game and Mitch coming in closely outside that with bridges boasting the title of 25th best SF in the game... Im so out of the loop...
EthanC21 03/25/21 03:43 pm | I love how my trades always end up being talking points haha. In regards to the pick I didn't really want to give it up, but I see it as a pick in the 22-30 range anyway. Try and find me 3 guys in that range who were hits from the last draft please :). Mitch is my guy and I know I'll regret moving him but Bryant will POTENTIALLY (not saying he will be) be a better two guy if he's healthy. Time will tell, but not owning my pick next year, makes me want to be as competitive as possible and I think Caris helps that. Better offer than some of the crap i received :)
Nenjabin 03/25/21 03:31 pm | Really confused why the Wolves are giving away a 1st and the best players? Bryant will be lucky to get close to Robinson's level...ever. The other 2 are a wash. And a 1st, and a heap more salary?
sheed36 03/25/21 03:23 pm | I mean Caris
Nels 03/25/21 03:22 pm | Giving Dunne 18mil to dump and then giving him the first is backwards too. The deal isnt a bad one though. Dunne got gms, a first and dumped 18mil as well as probably getting the best players in 2k.
sheed36 03/25/21 03:12 pm | I don't like it much for wolves... Chris and Thomas are injury prone
KLEMMELO 03/25/21 02:49 pm | Yep... And has also already missed close to 1/4 of a full season when we're just past the half way point... A worthy nod to see him get the starting gig because he's managed to not be such a liability with playing lazy/Low IQ defense and hacking everyone... The Knicks are only competitive on one end. With big Mitch in they're 18-22% less effective at defending shot attempts at the rim opposed to Noel who sees roughly a 30-35% increase resulting in NY effectively being 2x better in that area when playing Noel over him... It's the reason he sees 19 mins one game and 30+ the next.
laddas 03/25/21 02:05 pm | Mitch has started all but 2 games this season averaging almost 30mpg....
KLEMMELO 03/25/21 02:00 pm | Lol only just getting stuck into it now, dont tell me how to live my life... just cant fully get on board with the notion that Mitch 3 years in, still playing spot starting mins showing no leaps and bounds for the most part other then leaning now to hack every dude who gets close to the rim... and a solid rotation guy who 2k typically tends to shun... Is unequivocally the home run duo over the choice of having a dude whos proven in decent stretches he has legit upside and staying power in Levert and a 22 yr old prototypical big man who yes, only in small glimpses... Has shown he has untapped potential and promise to be at absolute worst giving you 3/4 of what Mitch does... OOORRR is quite realistically in the same convo as your Siakam/Randle/Turner/Horf/Bam/Collins type of player
laddas 03/25/21 01:49 pm | Cancer isn't an injury, but its well known Levert is indeed injury prone lol. All the way from his college days. Get off the juice! Nice work Jesse.
KLEMMELO 03/25/21 01:40 pm | Lol didnt come close to saying hes on a fast track to MVP contender status... Just mean hes in a great situation, locked up for multiple years and theres a big difference between injury prone and snapping your leg in a freak accident and having a possible life threatening cancer discovered in a trade medical... PG and Hayward seem to be doing ok as they head into their early 30s... In the end Ill always focus on what a guy can do in game first and foremost. Others can view that as short sighted or blind to their uncertain situation in the NBA (which in Levert a case is N/A). The injuries hes copped arent the typical lets nurse back this close to tail end prime former star cuz we suck dick and also dont want to tank any trade value he might still have.) Caris has come out guns blazing and the Pacers wanna win. Dont need to load manage cancer... Give me a list of 65-67 wings who can play 1-3 on both ends, score and play mark walking into 27/5/5 every night and Ill show you a much longer list of slow plodding defensive big men who will give you 12/12 and a couple blocks whos ceiling is just doing exactly that... But just a little bit better then the rest of them.... Every team thats winnings games has 1-3 guys that do what bridges does every night.
Nels 03/25/21 01:34 pm | 2 for 2 without the pick seems like the right price. Good negotiating by Dunne. Theres upside for both.
EthanC21 03/25/21 01:17 pm | I definitely have concerns about this trade. Guess time will tell. I think levert will be a nice fit with Melo in the back court if he can stay healthy
gc6 03/25/21 01:16 pm | i like it for both too, but if LeVert is Michael Jordan like Klemm's implying then the wolves have done the best trade ever
laddas 03/25/21 01:02 pm | Bryant is not Gobert. A 7 footer off an ACL injury isn't something to be excited about either. Levert is a good player yes but he also can't stay on the court, so really he's trading 2 guys of his young core for an always injured guy in his prime and a 7 footer with a bad knee. As I told Ethan privately, I don't like this deal and I think its a big W for Jesse if I'm honest.
KLEMMELO 03/25/21 12:48 pm | Levert on 3 years on a hard lock top 5 value contact in the league... puts up 27/5/6 in game in his sleep. Can play the 1-3 and you got upside for days in Bryant to be far more then a poor mans Rudy gobert but some how even slower and minus 100 badges... And a really nice rotation guy whos never going to give you anything in game other then a handy 12/8 playing on both ends. Nether will be an all star. Both Levert and Bryant bar some really bad luck I have no problems saying will have a pretty big chance of being all stars. I think its a killer move.
KLEMMELO 03/25/21 12:46 pm | Hes 26... Got a solid 4-6 years of elite production at the very least in game. Possibly a decade of top 50 impact... with how ball has come out gangbusters making an impact straight away 2k rating plebs will be frothing to just jack him up to the mid to high 80s ASAP and should come out next engine sporting a dozen or so extra badges. Gotta pull the trigger some time, ethan has killed it hitting on all his picks and savy trades and is on the upswing now. Mitch is my boy but hes 7+ feet galloping around just waiting to blow his knees out... Dead set happens every single time. Already hadnt been able to front up for more then 65ish games a season.
Nels 03/25/21 12:24 pm | Feel like Dunne should be the one paying a 1st in this one. From a 2k stand point I prefer Robinson. Never been a big fan of Thomas Bryant
laddas 03/25/21 11:56 am | This takes away from Ethan's young core though...? Why does everyone think Levert is "young". Dude is entering his prime.
KLEMMELO 03/25/21 11:32 am | Love that this deal finally got done! Makes so much sense for both... Show me a tasty trade that both catapults old mate Jesse back into prime discord pillaging form and puts the rest of the league on notice that Ethan and the boys have the best young core in the league. |
