New Additions

New Additions

In recent days the Clippers came to terms on two deals that will see Jordan Poole and Noah Clowney part ways for the team’s new additions in big man John Collins and guard Keyonte George

The Trade’s

Clippers Trade – Jordan Poole, Noah Clowney, Nick Smith Jr & 2 x 2nd round picks

Clippers Receive – John Collins, Keyonte George & 2x 2nd round picks

Adding John Collins will be a huge addition for the Clippers with a glaring hole up front in the big man rotation hopefully bringing some athleticism and rebounding to the team.

Keyonte George was an unexpected addition and a player we are banking on becoming a starting calibre guard in the future, while it was hard losing Noah, we felt he was a) not a true centre and never realistically going to get a fair go behind the Clippers true PF’s in Paolo, Tari or even Tobias Harris, Trey Murphy for that matter

Whereas Keyonte has a shot at becoming the team’s starting PG of the future competing with Cason Wallace for the job.

Clippers management are now somewhat happier with the team’s balance across the board and are looking forward to Paolo re joining the rotation in the coming weeks to get a true indication of where the team stands amongst the truly elite teams

·         C – John Collins, Moritz Wagner

·         PF – Paolo Banchero, Tobias Harris

·         SF – Trey Murphy, Tari Eason

·         SG – Jalen Williams, Jordan Hawkins

·         PG – Cason Wallace, Keyonte George

While happier with the rotation and balance this is not the end of the rotation additions with one sole roster spot free and 19 million available to spend on a player we can guarantee their will be an addition in the coming weeks who exactly that is will be decided upon once Paolo returns and the players deemed surplus to requirements offered up via the trade block

As I type the current crop of players on the block are Kris Murray, Kobe Bufkin both players who are still valued highly and recent lottery picks but could make way for an “upgrade”
