ROOKIE OF THE WEEK WATCH - Week 16

PLAYERTEAMWHYSTATS

Zaccharie Risacher

PER 23.79

Eastern
0-4
Zach came off the bench again last week but played 27 minutes a night and put up an impressive 18 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists, a steal and a block, really helping the Pacers try and find something sans Wemby. He was putrid efficiency wise though, shooting 35/22/75 splits, but it's nice to see he can do this type of thing overall.

Donovan Clingan

PER 20.00

Eastern
2-2
Another solid week from Clingan starting again and going to 8 points, 15 rebounds and 2 blocks. The big man has had a blurb about him every week and it's all been said by now. He continues to be one of the most consistent rookies on the year and while Tyson's sudden explosion will probably stop him winning this award this week, he is probably a top candidate for the ROTY.

Kel el Ware

PER 17.27

Eastern

Ware went back to the bench last week after some uncertainty of role and results as a starter and he thrived in the 19 minutes he got a game against the secondary bigs of the opposition. 8 points, 5 rebounds and a 2 blocks per game is a great result from your bench big man and he shot it 50% from deep to also help space the floor.

Jaylon Tyson

PER 29.10

Eastern
3-1
Look put NSL, Jaylon Tyson has announced his arrival! In the rotation every week so far but not start8ing until last week, Tyson suddenly went bang for 29 points a game, 7 rebounds, 3 assists on 54/33/81 shooting splits with 1.8 turnovers, in 31 minutes a night. Playing like a savvy vet star, this young rookie might be a gem for the Knicks!

Oso Ighodaro

PER 18.95

Eastern
3-1
Oso continued on in the Knicks rotation this past week and in 16 bench minutes a night, be was stellar to the tune of 8 points, 4 rebounds and a block per game which is all you can ask of your bench big, really. He's got a rotation spot locked down for the foreseeable future you'd imagine with a nice showing as a rookie here and in the NBA.

Bobi Klintman

PER 12.30

Western
2-2
Klintman is playing only his 3rd week of the year but was thrust into 22 minutes a game last week and responded with a respectable 6 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists per game in a floor spacing big man role. He hit a triple each gam and shot it 33% from there, so there is room to grow into what could be an important role down the stretch.

Isaiah Collier

PER 16.24

Western
2-2
Collier sighting again, this week he was in only 11 minutes a game of action but still looked solid with 6 points, 2 assists and 44/43/60 splits. He's a raw one, and needs the time to develop, but if he can continue to make strides the Nuggets will be patient with him.

Zach Edey

PER 24.81

Western
2-2
Holy Edey! The Grizz flicked hikm back into the startijg spot this past week and something must have changed, as he suddenly was taking shots and he poured in nearly 20 points a game! That, on top of his normal 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.5 blocks he normally produces as a starter in his role, made it a crazy good week for the big man.

Adem Bona

PER 10.99

Western
2-2
Bona has now had 2 weeks in OKC and started them both since they traded out Brandon Clarke. The Thunder haven't looked as sound recently, but they're still right up the pointy end and Bona is helping try and fill the void left by Clarke. 5 points, 7 rebounds, a steal and 2.8 blocks per game from the kid this week shows some solid growth from when he started a week for the 76ers early in the year.

Dalton Knecht

PER 13.29

Western
4-0
Knecht has had a real up and down year this year and in 16 minutes off the bench this past week only managed 5 points and 3 rebounds, so isn't going to be winning the award this week. He's got a decent looking spark plug future ahead though if he can get over the mental side of not being wanted in the NBA.
