PLAYER OF THE WEEK WATCH - Week 13

PLAYERTEAMWHYSTATS

Kyrie Irving

PER 32.99

Eastern
0-4
Kyrie Irving is having a phenomenal season. averaging nearly 40ppg for the magic, he had another strong week, averaging 38/4/4 across week 13. However, his season is coming to a close soon as well. In a recent IRL game, it has been confirmed the master of handles had torn his ACL> With that, rebuild will be on the mind of the Magic and it's GM as the team will most likely start taking looks at potential draft prospects in this upcoming draft, and make a run for the playoffs next year.

Victor Wembanyama

2-2
As many of you know, GM Yeet is currently in shambles as this is Wemby's last week of the season with team doctors discovering a blood clot. But he decided to go out with a bang. In his final week of the season he averaged 25.5ppg, 12rpg, and 2bpg while shooting 60% from the field. With Wemby being done for the season, many fans look to Mikal bridges to try and drag this team to the playoffs, and that's if he's around to do it.

Lebron James

PER 34.53

The king is the king and nothing will change that. At 40 years old he's averaging 40.3ppg, good for 2nd in the NSL, along with 8.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game. This week alone saw him average 36.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 4apg and 1.8bpg as Washington went 2-2 on the week. It seems like the only thing that can even have a remote chance at slowly down LeBron is father time, and he's been loosing that battle to the king for the last several years.

Ja Morant, the high flying, run and gu- yea I won't finish that last part. In a week that saw Cha go 2-2, Morant averaged 37.8ppg, 4.3rpg and 5.5apg. Morant is having a great season, averaging 35.6ppg for the 5th place hornets, but injuries and other issues have caused the team to have some recent struggles, going 5-5 over the last 10. with Ja's high flying dunks be able to right the ship, or will the hornets lose their wings.

Paul George

PER 33.03

Paul George has been on somewhat of a rollercoaster season. After playing 25 games with Mil he gets shipped off to Philly in a move to hopefully become playoff contenders before injuries have seemed to done them in. However he's played great for Philly, averaging 34/4/4/1 in 12 games with the team, including this past week that saw him shoot 44% from 3 while averaging 30ppg across 4 games. However rumors have it that PG's season could also soon be over soon with some rumors swirling he could soon be shut down with constant nagging injuries.

Nikola Jokic

The Joker. easily the best passing big man of all time, he had a phenomenal week for the rockets. While the team went 2-2 and is 6-4 over their last ten, the Joker averaged 19.5/16/55/2/2 in week 13 while shooting 60/50/74 from the field, which is just insane. His backcourt duo have been playing great as well, which as this Rockets team squarely in the playoff race as this team sits second in the west, only 5 games back of the red hot OKC. Can the Joker lead his team or a title, or is his sleeve all out of Aces?

Joel Embiid

PER 30.98

In what is also Joel's last week of his season due to injury, Joel helped show why next year, as long as the team is healthy, the Jazz could be title contenders. In a week that saw the Jazz go 3-1, Embiid averaged 22.5/13.5/3/2/2 on crazy efficient shooting. He was a monster on the boards and a threat to anyone that wanted to get within 10 feet of the basket. Unfortunately, with this being his last week, we won't get to see these monster performances again from him until next season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

PER 37.98

3-1
The Greek Freak, his name says it all. Leading the league in scoring, Giannis is averaging a whooping 42.8ppg this season, along with 12 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal and 2 blocks a game as well. And this past week was no different. Averaging 9.5apg, Giannis was half an assist shy of averaging a near 40 point triple double. Unfortunately, his monster stats may not be enough to save SA's season, with the team 3-7 over their last 10 and just outside the play-in on the wrong side of the standings. As things look now, the current MVP favorite could be watching the playoffs from home this postseason.

Does some smell Coffee? Nah, that's just Jimmy Butlers special roast. Butler had a monster week, putting up 41/6/6/1/2 in 4 games that saw Minny go 4-0. Butler is a guy that you can rely on to do everything all the time, except it'll be hard for Minny for the rest of the season to rely just on him. According to sources, the Wolves could soon be without the services of big man Anthony Davis as there is a possibility he could be ruled out for the season real soon. Jimmy Butler is a top player in the NSL, but there is no I in team, no matter how stubborn Jimmy is.

Jordan Poole

PER 35.45

Jordon Poole has been given the greenlight to let it fly ever since being traded to golden state. Averaging 31/3/3 since moving to his new team, Poole has been doing his best as the teams go to scorer in hopes of not being traded again. Poole saw his team go 4-0 last week while he averaged a cool 37 ppg while shooting 40% from 3. GS is 7-3 in their last ten games as the team seems to all of a sudden surging. Whether or not that is what the Daz-man wants for his team remains to be seen, but it seems like Poole is carving out a permanent spot on this roster for the foreseeable future.
