Denver vs Boston
Coming up this week is an intense match in the city of Boston with the Nuggets vs the Celtics. Many fans are more than keen to see this first matchup of the season, personally I'd like to see, Jason Tatum go against Donovan Mitchell head-to-head on the court. Tatum is rated the 3rd best power forward in the league against Mitchell who is rated the 5th shooting guard in the league. With Tatum averaging 35.9 ppg, and 11 rps, Jason Tatum is an absolute beast leading the team 10 wins to only 5 losses. Expectations will continue to soar with Tatum and people are hyped for this match up. Leading the Denver Nuggets we have, Donovon Mitchell. Donovan Mitchell currently is averaging 27.0 ppg, 5rpg and 6apg and continues to lead the team bringing the wins in. Currently the Nuggets are a 8 wins and 5 losses in. Donovan is expected to bring it big time for this match, I'm sure there will be plenty of fans hidden in the audience surrounded by the Boston Celtics fans more than keen to watch. Boston is 2nd in the eastern conference while we have Denver in the 5th in the western conference. Match ups Chris Paul up against Darius Garland. There may be some struggle against Garland as good as Chris Paul is, the age and athletic difference would make quite a challenge. However, despite this difference Chris Paul still leads more ppg but rebounds and assists as quite even leading to this may being a good match up for the game. Jalen Johnson is up against Jayson Tatum. Two power forwards head-to-head. Jason is leading points per game and rebounds per game comparing to Jalen Johnson is massive, this does seem like an unfavorable outcome for the nuggets on this match. Jalen Johnson will have to push himself in an attempt to win this one. I'm unsure with Tatum struggling against this match up as he a superstar against a role player. Micheal Porter Jnr is playing against Dillion Brooks. This match up may be a bit unpredictable, Dillion Brooks, he may not be as rated as much as Jnr but he makes up in good defensive plays saving the opposing team scoring. Jnr will need to show up strong and break though just as he did against the Bucks, where he scored 33 points in a game leading to a win. We have Jared McCain going against Donovon Mitchell. This matchup is a risky one, a superstar against a rookie on the starting lineup. This may lead to Jared learning and getting experience of what it's like to go up against the best however the difference is too big, if they want a team win, this is not the right way to go about it, but sometimes this leads to the rookies getting their shining moment to make a difference if he can pull through. Last but not least we have Alpreen Sengun against Domantas Sabonis. This is a match up I'm hoping to see alot of and have high expectations. Back in the day of OKC in NBA rookie year, Sabonis was my favorite rookie and I have always been a fan and watched every game back then. Alpreen Sengun, I haven't watched much about however looking over reports he seems to have a lot of potential and Boston themselves are waiting for him to break out. Two bigs with plenty of game, Sabonis does score low at only 12ppg however he does average 15 rebounds per game and should have Sengun covered on the rebounds. Sengun averages pretty similar, however as he is a younger player, he isn't as good as he should be in 2k yet. This match up is my personal favorite upcoming and may be a bit biased. |

Boston's bench may be too much for Denver with their aggressive style of play and heavy scoring. With 2 high level role players on their bench this does put them in a much better position to win. Denver may struggle to win as they lack the depth that Boston has, off the bench. To win this game Denver will have to rely on their starters to outplay Boston starters. |

Toby 12/12 07:01 pm | Was just looking at the defensive matchups and it’s tough. If I put brooks on Mitchell then my small guards have to go against 6’10” porter jr… if I could change the lineup I’d probly bring McCain off the bench and bring in a someone bigger for some defence. | ||
