Let's take a look at the injury front for the raps.

It isn't pretty. With the squad not being stronger than8 players at any time the last 3-4 weeks. It has been a struggle and it is starting to show on the standings. The Raptors are sliding down the east and need to correct it quickly.
Injured Players:
KZ Okpala (Wrist/Ankle) - 21 NBA Games missed this season
Zion Williamson (Foot) - 52 NBA Games missed this season
Willie Cauley-Stein (Illness) - 24 NBA Games missed this season
Paul George (Elbow) - 28 NBA Games missed this season
DeMarcus Cousins (Foot) - 5 NBA Games missed this season
Brook Lopez (Back) - 52 NBA Games missed this season
Returning Players:
Fred VanVleet (returning from Knee/Health Protocols/Groin) - 4 NBA Games missed this season
DeMar DeRozan (returning from Health Protocols) - 4 NBA Games missed this season
This frustrating thing besides the injuries them selves is the lack of clarity.
Willie Cauley-Stein has dropped off the face of the earth. No one has any idea when Brook Lopez will be back. PG has a different rumor every week. is he back soon or is he out for the season ? The latest is he has an MRI on the 24th. KZ who was putting in some good shifts for the raptors has been out for weeks and weeks. Zion is Zion and who has a clue what is going on there. Although apparently Vegas took some big bets this week on The Pelicans making the NBA playoffs so maybe someone knows more than they are letting on.
Thankfully Fred and DeMar are back this week. With them 2 weeks ago, the Raps went 3-1 and can beat most teams. They cant compete with the big dogs without any bigs and no Zion and PG. But if they can just maintain for a few weeks until the troops get back, we will see the raps team again that was within .5 of a game of top of the east before this terrible run of injuries began.
The Raps GM would also like to apologies for any offence caused by comments made in the public eye. We wish everyone the best going forward and we hope everyone achieves their goals for the season no matter how warped they may be.
