No Goodbye’s, Only Hello’s

Seeing a player’s you drafted take a leap is a fun moment when building a team and can quite literally change the entire outlook of a franchise

that’s something I’ve seen recently in not only RJ Barrett but Trey Murphy III, Corey Kispert and even Usman Garuba. None of the aforementioned are the super hyped up Phenom’s that gain a cult following but they are doing the job that’s required of them.

This year we have the pleasure in adding to that group with four brand new names.

Paolo Banchero

NSL Draft #2 NBA Draft #1

Paolo the 1st of the new recruits to join the new look clippers team heading into the 2022/23 season

Paolo is a genuine 6’10 emerging point forward out of Duke University and joins the clippers as the likely starting PF.

Summer League Stats (2 Games)

·         20 Points

·         5 Rebounds

·         6 Assists

NB: Clippers were fully expecting to be taking Jaden Ivey or Jabari Smith Jr at #2 had Paolo been taken with the 1st pick

Bennedict Mathurin

NSL Draft #7 NBA Draft #6

Another recruit that the Clippers were extremely happy to take was the tough guard out of Arizona who will be playing for the NBA Indiana Pacers.

Bennedict is a solid 6’6 and plays with a chip on his shoulder with a very reliable jumper in college and summer league preview.

Summer League Stats

·         19.3 Points

·         4 Rebounds

·         1.3 Assists

·         1.3 steals

NB: Impressive numbers considering it was all done in 20mins per game

Jalen Williams

NSL Draft #17 NBA Draft #12

Not to be confused with Jaylin Williams also drafted in the 2022 draft in the 2nd round by the OKC thunder

Jalen is one of the older rookies taken in the 2022 draft and used his combine to grow his stock standing 6’6 with a 7’2 wingspan Jalen is a good defender and a much improved shooter on all three levels only just missing the elusive 50/40/90 club

Summer League Stats

·         11 Points

·         3.8 rebounds

·         2 assists

·         1.5 steals

Tari Eason

NSL Draft #22 NBA Draft #17

Tari “The Ferrari” Eason has somewhat taken the NBA by surprise with his play throughout the NBA summer league on occasion out playing his more fancied team mate in Jabari Smith.

Standing 6’8 215lbs and a 7’2 wingspan and Kawhi like gargantuan hands

During the summer league showing what a more structured approach brings

Summer league stats

·         17.2 Points

·         10.2 Rebounds

·         1.8 Steals

NB: Tari was recently added to the 2022 All Summer league 1st Team

If no trades go down this will be the 2023 lottery team

PG. Ricky Rubio, Collin Sexton

SG. RJ Barret, Kelly Oubre Jr, Bennedict Mathurin, Corey Kispert

SF. Trey Murphy, Duncan Robinson, Jalen Williams

PF. Paolo Banchero, Tari Eason, PJ Washington
