Mean Green fighting machines
Three new acquisitions
added this week, in a trade we moved on from Nerlens Noel, Noel had been a
great serviceable player for Cleveland with great games and stat lines for us
with almost 2 steals and 2 blocks a game. Unfortunately pending free agency
this year the team was not comfortable attempting to re-sign Noel due to the
attention he has received throughout the season and also moving on from our
roster filler Derrick Walton Jr, the team thanks Nerlens Noel and Derrick
Walton for their time in Cleveland and wish them all the best. In the trade
moving on from Noel and Walton brought in JaMychal Green a young forward on a 2
year deal worth 8 million in a package deal to be announced at a later time.
This week we
also outbid teams for the services of the highly sought after Jeff Green. Green
joins us after being bought out by the Detroit Pistons. Green was a great
starter for the Pistons in the 1st week of the season he averaged
16/5/3 with 2 steals on 54/43/92 before questionably being shunned to the
bench. Green will be starting in Cleveland given those statistics and won't be
asked to come off the bench and we hope Jeff can achieve the same success and
put up those type of performances for Cleveland.
In some bad news for the week the week approaches that we dreaded. After trading our 2nd scoring option player LaMarcus Aldridge who took over the offense whenever PG was injured we knew the week would come where the team would have to hold their own without the leadership and scoring power of Paul George with PG out with a hamstring strain this week. The team will take a new approach using a completely new system they haven't tested all that much and hope to go at least 500. for the week
