Bam has been one of the best big men in the league this year with his scoring way up and this past week was no exception. 32 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal and 2 blocks per game for the 2way stud on 71/67/79 shooting splits and less than a turnover a game. He's back next to his big man buddy and loving it.
Lebron is undefeated, even against father time and 36 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and nearly 2 blocks per game last week sees his Wizards power up again in search of the back to back titles. How long can this man keep on doing it? Will he go on? Questions for next year, as he's going to put it all into this year down the stretch.
Thrust into a new role this week Williams went bananas, literally. 21 points a game last week when his season average is in single figures! Throw in 13.3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.8 blocks per game and this is the monster type player that the last couple of GMs that traded for him thought he could be. Does he keep it going or was it a weekly system?
Shai just doing Shai things this past week. He's been "quiet" this year compared to last as he's "only" averaged 32 points a game, but this week he poured in 40 with 3.5 rebounds and a whopping 10.5 assists! Throw in 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks and the monster that is Shai, is well and truly out there taking lives.
Chey has proven the haters (me) wrong this year as the engine has geared towards these multi faceted big men and he's smashed out Wemby-lite numbers making it much more palatable that he was swapped for him. 26 points last week with 13 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.2 steals and 1.4 blocks to boot. 72/61/63 splits and the big man is doing all the right things in all the right ways.
Queta went nuts this week. He poured in a 40/20 game against Embiid and it reflects here 26 points, 17 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 steals and a block per game this week and those numbers are in line with the best big men in the league, if not better in some aspects! Whatever happened, keep it up big fella!
Maxey is missing his running mate but boy has he stepped up this year. 34 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists with 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks this past week which are some insane numbers from a tiny defensive sieve type guard. 48/45/89 splits too make it really impressive and helps the Rockets not think of what could have been.
Wemby is unfair. The guy averages 35 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks but literally all stat categories are down on his season numbers, but would be considered insane for anyone else. Does a "down" week for the freak of 2k/nature constitute an award win?
The Joker keeps being asked to do more and more now he's back from injury and 30 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists with 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per game on an insane 65/67/100 split is just toying with the rest of the league. It's ironically still not in the realm of Wemby's "down" week, but by is it getting up there when the defensive numbers come his way too.
Giannis is healthy for a week before sitting again this week and that could be a real problem for the Spurs down the stretch as they can't afford to have anyone sit out, really. But while he's playing, they look like title winners honestly so cheers and good luck to that! 32 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists with 1.2 steals and 1.8 blocks and it's marginally better than his season totals except for the rebounds. new role now the Spurs have a fresh faced big man?
